In reply to Post #1497 Same here
Be interesting to see what happens though now. I bet there is not a decent heavyweight about who does not fancy it, fear factor, gone, said it all along, seriously touchable in the chin department

In reply to Post #1494 Didn’t criticise him Gerry, the opposite, just a very good solid boxer who gets the results, can’t say he excites me though
I think our commentators talk a bit of **** at the times but the yanks deffo take the biscuit

In reply to Post #1493 Funny how we see fights differently ?
I thought Spence Jr did well after over a year out following his accident no warm up match straight in ?
I was so pissed off with the 2 commentators on Premier that just would not shut up yapping bullshine nonstop to each other I lasted to round 5 before muting the sound gggrrrrrrrr

In reply to Post #1491 I thought Yarde was a mile behind myself. Arthur was superb with the jab all night. I gave Yarde about 4 rounds and they were VERY close. Couldn’t break Arthur down. When he did land they were glancing blows until the 12 round slug fest. Great performance from Arthur for me and a deserved win
Anybody watch Errol the boring truth Spence? Garcia was slow to the punch, had to close him down and put it on him like Porter did for me. Credit to Spence though, they always say if you do the basics very well you will go far, he is very good. His left hand has got to be one of the best in the business, his timing is superb
Got to be Crawford vs. Spence next, that should be a cracker

In reply to Post #1491 Yeah i think dubois career could be over , nasty one that , was disapointed with yarde he just could,nt get past arthurs jab.

Well I would have not been surprised if it had been a draw but if there was to be a winner then the right man won Yarde did not do enough to win IMO
and Jeff you were dead right Daniel Dubois did have a serious eye injury so was right to stop

In reply to Post #1489 Saunders is a classy boxer when he is on his game
Agree with that, similar to Fury, seems to lack motivation at times for me. must be a traveller thing lol, both great boxers though who have had blips in their careers, mental!
Had a look at McGrail, good interview, hope he does well, on seconds out, good channel that

In reply to Post #1488 Saunders is a classy boxer when he is on his game. If his style floats your boat, search out footage of Peter McGrail, a local amateur due to turn pro after the Olympics (if it ever happens !!) Known as the Scouse Lomachenko

In reply to Post #1487 I think outright punching power could be said about both of them?
I think Saunders is more of a natural middleweight myself. Plus his style is not exactly landing the bombs. Sure they take their toll though!
I think that is Murray done too, stepping into a ring with GGG and having that on the record is impressive in itself for me. Can’t say I have seen that many of his fights. Respect though, was on the end of it and took it on the chin last night

In reply to Post #1483 Martin is a legend around these parts, and having more than a passing interest in Boxing I have watched a lot of his fights. Very technically gifted boxer with a great heart, but its clear to see that he doesn't have the power to take out opponents at world level.
Last nights tactics were typical of the way he approached most of his fights. Cool and measured, tight defence and then crank up the pressure in the second half of the fight, regularly dropping lesser opposition with his body shots.
Unfortunately age is against him days and he didn't have what was required against a class opponent last night. I expect him to retire now.
Highlight of his career for me was taking the Martinez fight in his back yard and narrowly missing out on points.
