In reply to Post #534 I think lille and the lads agent have got the best of this deal.
Apparently Liverpool were also interested but that price plus add ons for that player is not the way fsg work. I think united have overpaid again as with a lot of players in recent years.
It remains to be seen whether he'll be another expensive mistake or a rare (in recent history) success.
He'll find the premier league a lot tougher than the 2 hard games against PSG each year

In reply to Post #533 Why would it be o.k to spend £85 on Maquire, I haven't said anywhere I'm a fan, can you guess I'm not.
Regards screen shotting my post....why...the body of evidence for buying high and selling low lies in my favour, not yours
So Leny wants to go to Real (he said so), Real won't meet the price tag and offer 30 mill, way below what Lille want. Acording to the papers today Lille threatened to bench him next season as his contract runs out and he'll be worth nowt to them. No doubt agent has a word in his ear and then he wants to join Man U, his heart was in that then. We'll see how he plays, I hope he does well, I really do.
I have no doubt he's a real talent (in French football), but UTD have a habit of snubbing it out, and I dislike them intently for it, but I'll always be a red and live in hope

In reply to Post #532 And it's ok to spend £85m on Maguire? 🤣
I suggest you screenshot your post and then review it at the end of the season. This kid is the real deal.👍

And in other news, Man U spend £52 million on a 18 year old, Leny Yoro, centre back.
So much for Utd not over paying for unproven players Under Sir Jim!
Best of luck keeping anyone fit this season.
One of the brightest talents in France, rings a bell...how long will it take us to devalue him too.

In reply to Post #527 Proven track record winning international tournaments?
Nah, the FA wouldn't consider that.
I'd support her. She knows how to get a team playing fluid attacking and WINNING football. I doubt I'm in a majority there though 😁
There are good managers out there. But I think there are too many stupid self imposed restrictions. Somebody English. Somebody who knows the FA set up. Somebody who will say 'yes' without questioning... etc.

In reply to Post #522 Well at least there'd be continuity...
Boring, defensive, low block, no possession, out dated football
Yep - mourinho is your man!
I'd be ok with pochettino or Tuchel who have both been mentioned
However I'm not putting it past the fa to interview bloody lampard for the job

In reply to Post #520 I'm 100% positive that his heart was in it, and he's 100% England through and through, a thoroughly nice bloke but as you say no Plan B.
