In reply to Post #367 and the sub post.
Watching the Scots in that match was like Man United under LVG, side side back.
They kept getting to the final 3rd then appeared to scared to be countered and just stopped, virtually no overlapping runs on the wings, if indeed there was even a player there to do it.
It's not as if they couldn't have put McTom up front to pose more of a threat.
They didn't chnage their style from get go, the blame lies with the manager, go to go if you ask me.

In reply to Post #364 Scotland fans would definitely win a personality contest. Just a shame their team can't string any decent moves together.

Never mind Scotland one day you will make it to the knockout stages, but not in my lifetime though.

Shame about Scotland I would've like to have seen them go through.
If their players were as good as their fans they would've topped their group.

In reply to Post #349 sir Alex or pep doing that!
Nope, that’s what they need when the are playing like that, some hairdryer
I read Southgate has a leadership team, Kane, Bellingham and a couple more, if this is the case then it tells your about their mentality and thinking. Tactically we got pressured and folded and did not have a plan B or C. I worry
He needs to get on the touchline and tell them how it is ffs

Var has been very swift overall, a great improvement, I like that snickometer thing too.
If it can be kept as swift I'd like it to be used when the ref makes a clear and obvious error in all instances, there have been a fair few wrong everything's, throw ins, free kick, a card and corners.

In reply to Post #357 I think VAR should be used this way...........
If the ref has made a clear and obvious mistake then VAR should overrule it. That shouldn't take long to do.
If it's going to ages then it can't be clear and obvious mistake and so the refs decision is used.
I haven't watched all the matches but from what I can gather VAR decisions have been swift.
In this instance I wonder how long it would've taken if the refs weren't British?

The Netherlands were robbed and that ref was biased, as for the TV commentary you'd think the French were playing each other
Not sure if you guys saw it but on one of the replays as the ball came past the defender both the goalies feet were off the ground. How can his dive be impeded if he physically can't dive, hence just watching it. Any goalie worth there salt would have dived if they could, player there or not
So now all goalies will just stand there when a opposing player is in a offside position, not interfering with play and the ref will side with them, great precedent being set there.
TBF, the refs and var have been pretty good up until then, trust the U.K unit to bring it into Q again!

In reply to Post #356 Cobblers.
The only person impeding the keeper was his team mate stood Infront of him causing him to see the ball late then blame Dumfries. If it was 'offside' then why take so long to come up with that decision? I will agree with the commentators, they are now using VAR to deliberately scratch off goals, it's not being used for its intended purpose. GOAL!
