In reply to Post #409 That’s the chap who caught an 18 on another bait a couple of weeks ago isn’t it ? Thames barbel were never that fussy , any decent bait was acceptable in the right place, not least a method feeder with a big lump of Garlic Spam .

In reply to Post #406 Just posted another double from the Thames today! If the herb fails as a carp bait it will certainly make it as a good barbel bait 😂

In reply to Post #403 . Years back using John bakers base mixes as paste as a wrap or hookbait was effective and probably what you newer barbel anglers are still doing? Except maybe I used river water or LO30 not eggs, and wrapping around a few hookers from a single egg mix.
The very best barbel/chub/ river carp bait I ever used by a country mile was CC Moore Ocean HNV paste mixed with LO30 ,no eggs. This was in the 90’s on The Thames , never saw another barbel angler.
Egg powder with either river/lake water or hydros opens up huge variation possibilities.
I take large amounts to France on the rivers , feed paste and fish a skinned hookbait over the top. The leak off speeds up bite times in my view. With eggs that would be complicated.
Or go to the Thames with a kilo of powder and mix it up as needed, just a few hookers needed.
So looking forward to your base mixes being available, I am sure they will be a winner like the rest of your range .

In reply to Post #402 Was speaking in support of your dogs liking liver comment actually
Agree with the barbel sentiment too, they're cyprinids and Im convinced that an inherently good carp bait is effective for barbel and vise versa. I've noticed a lot of people using milk protein heavy mixes with sweeteners for barbel instead of the meaty fishmeal type baits we're always told they show a preference for, I think this is a demonstration of a wide variety of feed and investigative triggers co-existing between them.
Never caught a barbel on a pop up though, which I think its more down to how they feed

In reply to Post #400 We only ever make things with fresh eggs, and the paste kits will be easy to use with an egg but I see no reasons why you couldn’t add egg alb if you so wished! It’s more for those barbel anglers who have seen huge and dramatic differences in the rivers with paste wrapped hookbaits. I am adamant we should be listening to these lads and doing similar things for the carp where possible

In reply to Post #399 The "nut bait" we've been testing is currently sat nicely at 6% liver in symbiosis with another product, No nut bait should be without it (Y)

In reply to Post #392 Would you consider supplying base mix etc but with egg powder added so only water needed ? Baitworks do it and I have dabbled myself. Very convenient.
Cheers
