In reply to Post #65 Haha! Yeah i had my first proper carp landing net made, one of the blokes i worked with, who themselves were very hardcore. I could definitely write a book about my time with those two, anyway, one of them got my net made. He brought it into work, and i started laughing when i saw it. I wasn't laughing when he told me how much i owed the bloke though!

Hardcore, you know the score
First ever carp angler I came across was fishing a very large expanse of water at the time. Thought he was a tramp at first, his bivvy was a sheet of tarpaulin tied to a fence, we **** ourselves when he crawled out
Nothing but respect from a fishing perspective for those who were in at the start, pioneers of this fantastic pastime
