Think there are a few options for groves now, but all from below him in the rankings.. Plenty of up and coming fighters looking for a name on their record. He's not looked the same fighter since froch ko'd him the second time imo. Move up to light heavy to rematch degale (can't see a bigger money fight for him anywhere else), and then hang the gloves up would be about the best he can do now I reckon

Just watched the highlights. Great boxing display and very well disciplined from Smith, used the jab very well and picked the punches

Groves, not so sure myself, the question I would ask his where does he go next or who can he fight next?

Maybe a rematch with Smith. Smith dominated with the Jab but Groves caught him early in the 7th, could have gone either way at that point for me, although Smith did box well. One up for the Smith family

Good news is we have a new British champion, fights like that and he may hold the belts a long time which would be nice to see

He says he definitely not retiring. Off th back of that performance I can't see him getting back to world level again, a step up to light heavy may be in order

Shame for groves last night, doubt he'll be back after that.

We will find out tonight

I guess it all depends on Smith, we know what Groves can do pending his shoulder and stamina over the 12

Looking at Smith, long and gangly you would think he would be working on the end of a long jab, typical with the rest of the family he likes a tear up which could cost him if he does, gangly fighter with an in close style. Unless he changes it for tonight, but can't see it myself

Didn't see that one coming at all, definitely the performance of his career so far. Groves looked like an old man in there tonight

Agree, could be interesting

TBH I wasn't too convinced against the fight with skoglund, thought he struggled myself.

Why isn't it in the UK, one of the biggest fights for a while ffs

Should be a good one. First proper test of smiths career. I'm backing groves for a stoppage in the later rounds. Smith is too upright, and too easy to hit.
