In reply to Post #38 You realise that arsenal have made that same statement of intent 5 times in the last 10 seasons...?
Just saying...
Looking forward to the season starting.
I think Rice will do well at arsenal
Chelsea might need a bit of settling down time after the mess of last season
United will realise that just buying someone whose name sounds like Haaland isn't a sound transfer policy
Newcastle will continue to do well
Spuds will collapse
My lot will be better than last year. And Nunez will start to look like a striker again.
And city will look like it was a mistake letting mahrez and gundogan leave.... for a bit. Then they'll just click again.

In reply to Post #37 A good win to start the season and a sign of intent

In reply to Post #36 It was only a charity match, plenty of substitutions to give the boys a kick about.
Edit they've only gone and scored in Fergie time!

Charity shield.
If we win it's a good start to the season and a sign of intent.
If we lose it doesn't matter, its only a friendly

In reply to Post #29 I think the money is in Saudi (no surprise there)
Mahrez is brilliant. City - even though they're a machine - will miss him and gundogan.
We'll miss Henderson too. I still believe that stevie's slip wasn't what cost us the title as much as Henderson being out for those few matches.
The ffp thing - tinhead is right. No point giving monetary fines to the clubs who can spend 600million in one transfer window.

In reply to Post #28 Those fines are peanuts especially the Chavs. No deterrent at all, if anything it's a bargain price to pay to be able to spend £100's millions.
As for Juventus I don't suppose they are bothered about being kicked out of the Euro Conf, if it were CL then EUFA would probably would've bottled it.

In reply to Post #28 Corrupt as ****, good on them, might have gone on to line someone else’s pocket!
**** the Italians, we don’t care, history, the money is over here now!
I see RM is bailing out of City and going to SA . What a player!
