In reply to Post #1 Sorry Kells Fat fingers
Apparently there's a vid doing the rounds on Social media. Filmed by an Angler. Showing the aftermath of his swim after being attacked by said angler.. Apparently from what I've heard Simon can be a bit Firey. But attacking a fella angler on the bank..33 Always two sides to a story mind.. its Fishing for ****s sake..

In reply to Post #83 As much as Craig is who he is, I don't think there's anyone better out there for calling things out for how they are at present.
However, and this is a big however. The antics many of us got up to pre Kordarisation was, and is, left on the banks of where they occured.

Am I right in saying that this Craig Mitchell, the one posting everything over socials (I mainly see it on Instagram) isn't actually the guy Simon Crow had the altercation with?

In reply to Post #80 Apparently ( find myself saying that a lot these days. ) Someone on the Socials has jumped to Simons defence saying. The dog was tied up because the fellas dog was a bit reactive its all on body cam. The other fella had a pop first. The Plod have seen the footage. Case closed.. Thing is I don't remember seeing a body cam on Simon at all
He could of well tied his dog up because of the other dog. Or he might of just needed both hands free... who knows.
Best thing now is for Simon to put his side of the story on record. Maybe even apologies if he feels he has to.And for them to both shake hands and move on.. it's fishing for ****s sake..

In reply to Post #75 Just giving my experience in a fishing situation, appreciate that there may well be circumstances where some people are not quite as gracious as they could be.
Both those named were really pleasant on the bank, Dovey even invited me round for Pizza they were ordering in on the evening.

I've fished on lakes with a few pro's in the past and they are either really friendly and "normal" like us all, (Tom Dove & Darrell Peck fit into this bracket) or surly arrogant tossers who look at you like you are not worth the time of day, shant name these ones but there was one in particular from Fox who was a really unlikeable chap!

In reply to Post #71 Tbf baiting pros (without punching them) is good sport, especially on hard lakes where everyone is blanking most of the time . . . . . a well(ish) known pro angler who still works for a well known tackle co (but shall remain nameless) was on my then 20 man syndicate in the early 00's.
He actually kept himself to himself, he rarely if ever spoke with anyone (unlike the rest of us punishers), not even to glean info / find out what was occurring or not etc. Probably because of this, and the fact that he was a pro he instantly became subject to ridicule . . . .tbf all of us, (being from a diverse set of backgrounds in life) were subject to ridicule from each other most of the time, but he was def an easy target and therefore deemed total fair game. (Being overgrown kids ourselves we were also all probably envious about his status at the time)
It became apparent that he was losing his hair rapidly (unfortunate for someone in their 20's) so we decided that we would all take daft wigs every session and don them the next time he turned up at the lake. The day came and this duly occurred . . .on his very first lap he would discover every angler sitting out in front of their bivvies, quietly watching their rods but wearing a strange, ill fitting hair piece - I actually sported an afro for reasons that escape me.
Sufficed to say he said absolutely nothing as we laughed via messages on our Nokia 5210s that must have been pinging around the entire lake. Must of hurt because we never saw him again after that weekend . . .and he certainly did not renew his ticket
