We caught 26 carp, 2 x 40s and 8 x 30s the rest were mainly 20s with a few doubles. So an ideal average for a Dad and Lad trip imho

I’m working with a guy who’s friend owns “chase lakes” in France

I know absolutely nothing about it but could be worth a look 👍👎

Lots of suggestions for bounty . Maybe that’s the forward . I must admit the catfish did put me off but if everything else is good maybe I’ll have to put it behind me .

What is the average size of carp in there ?

100% recommend Bounty. Took my son on a Dad's and Lad trip last year and it was perfect for us. Hired a bivvy for the week (had one of the big Ridgemonkeys which was perfect for us). We had plenty of carp and a few 40s thrown in, so successful on the fishing front and not difficult. We had no cats even though we did target them on a rod at the end of the trip and had a monster feeding over our bait on the last evening (turned out we had a huge fresh water mussel covering our hook!). Facilities are good, food package was ideal and the bailiffs were great with my boy. Definitely intend on going back there when we get the time

Abbey lakes Frog lake is ideal for this. I believe in certain months they also do a lads go free type thing, you’d have to contact them to check the details though.

I’m looking to take my two young boys in 2028 , they will be 8 and 6 . The idea is to get a decent size bivvy and all stay in that and also use 4 rods between us . Looking for somewhere with a decent stock of fish , shower facilities and potential to have food package .

Iv looked through old threads and bounty was recommended . It looked ideal until I saw how many catfish were in there . That definitely puts me off a bit

Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Ideally a short drive from Calais but will consider all options

Cheers
