In reply to Post #21 Don’t all phones come with a built in compass app as standard? I have to use that or google maps to get the boat back to the boat park on the big reservoir some mornings, if there’s a total whiteout of fog!

In reply to Post #12 Well i watched the "in-depth" video and what a pile of crap that was.
I don't understand why they try to massive over produce all the content with stupid cut away shot and over the top music. Just have a standard video with someone going around it and showing what it is as they put it up.
Absolutely no in depth info on the block or any materials other than the fabric.

In reply to Post #18 Loads of downloadble apps do a far better job!

In reply to Post #19 Yeah, as I said unfamiliar swims and venues. It’s easy to get disoriented, and the sun isn’t always out.

In reply to Post #18 You should already know where North etc., is, the Sun rises in the East, sets in the West, is South at 12.00pm and opposite that is North,,,

In reply to Post #16 I thought the compass was stupid at first, but actually, if you know it’s going to be p*ssing down and windy from the NE then the compass could be handy if you are unfamiliar with swim, venue, etc… before the skull cap goes on obviously

In reply to Post #10 Agreed. I was silly enough to buy a couple of their ziggo floats as I do a lot of zig fishing on my syndicate.
£20 each.
Metal base came away from the float on my 2nd cast.

In reply to Post #14 That you cant see when skullcap is on

In reply to Post #14 That’s sealed it for me 😂

What makes me giggle about the launch of this Bivvy is all the blurb about research, designing and testing this Bivvy for 47 years just to come up with the same Bivvy everyone else already does
Nothing new or exciting that I can see

They are doing an in-depth video in the week

Yeah I have not seen it in the flesh just on the video and you cant really grasp how solid the block is from that IMO. Where i meant more simple, was in that you locking mechanism was just a push and click system from the looks of it.

In reply to Post #6 The trakker boss is far more simple that the RM one. The RM looks very fragile being plastic. Every thing ive owned by RM other than their buckets as been utter ***** 💩

In reply to Post #6 I disagree, the trakker RS is a simple design that just works through tension. This new RM block is some click in design and it looks very cheap.

The block looks very suspect. Thin plastic, looks very cheap and over engineered.

In reply to Post #6 7.5kg just the shell, whole system is 15kg

It looks like a even more simple Boss system that the tempest and far better then the fox attempt.
I have seen and herd good reviews of the bigger bivvies when i have seen them in france.
One thing I noticed in the video was the size of the bag and the fact that it looked heavy when Levy was carrying it.

Going by my past experience of ridge monkey products, I'll swerve it - not sure of the need for the compass , someone needs to go outside and give their head a wobble

In reply to Post #1 It looks like a nice bivvy to me. 700 is scary on a RM product though tbh
Although saying that, I dont think the escape bivvies were too problematic

People have been asking for years for the inner mesh window to open downwards, while meanwhile Rm is making a new bivvy where you have them roll it up
Bivvy looks for the rest decent but fot me personal to low

Looks like a new arrival on the scene, which from what i saw on the clip that was released seems to fit in-between the tempest RS and Frontier 2 bivvies in terms of looks and features.
Quite a few comments saying they had been showing them in the recent tackle shows, anybody seem them in flesh? if so what were you thoughts?
With ridge monkey i always find there products are either superb or utter dogs doo, never anything in between.
