I am hoping this does not offend the two members im talking about. I placed an add on here selling most of my gear that i had left due to personal reasons that most know about. Anyhow no rods sold so i then listed them on ebay .
Anyhow i made a set of catfish rods for Paul keeble (keebs) on here a few years ago . I have never met Paul have spoke on phone and text many times . Paul holds the record weight for a fish caught on a rod i have built . Paul said he would bid on a set of rods i had on ebay he did,nt want them but wanted to help out. Not only did he bid he kept bidding until he was the winner. He then messaged me to say he will keep the rods for me to buy back when i can !!! To say this knocked me for 6 is an understatement. I cant thankyou enough.
The second is a fairly new member Brian colbear (Buster 2026) . Brian whom i have never met never spoken to bought some blanks off me . After a few messages i told him why i was selling then went on to buy 4 other items . Then bought a set of baby snipers on ebay and then bought three pike rods built on harrison blanks for ?150 more than i said he could have them for .
The last few weeks have probably been the most difficult of my life but knowing people like this has made me realise that there are good people around and someone always has your back.
Im really sorry if this embarrasses both Paul and Brian but thankyou both for your generosity help and advice.
