In reply to Post #5 The Korda Dark Matter braid is also available in 30lb if you want something a bit heavier duty or stiffer. I keep playing around with the 30Ib but the 20lb has caught me some good fish so I’m hesitant to try it. I probably need to do some tank testing on it.

Have a look at the Korda Dark Matter Braid.
I’ve looked at everything and this is the best I’ve used.
I use the 20lb.

On the back of the topic "nash, is it all over?" the question if anybody knows something similar to nash armourlink.
I use the 25lbs silt, haven't been able to get any new for a over a year so i guess that tells a lot. I like it very much since it is rather thick, hard wearing, sinks ok for a braid and its both supple and stiffish so no crazy tangles like with many other braids.
Are there real alternatives with the same properties?
