In reply to Post #4 No they're not. The 8000 is bigger, both body wise and spool. 7000 spools won't fit an 8000 reel and vice versa.

In reply to Post #2 I have the 7000s for pike fishing had them years and there a bomb proof reel I've been looking around for some for carp fishing im pretty sure the 8000 are a bigger reel just wanted someone to clarify this

In reply to Post #1 I remember back in the day people saying the 8000’s were huge in comparison to the 7000’s, but again, not sure if the whole reel is bigger, or just the spool.

Is the penn affinity ltd 7000 the same size body as the penn affinity ltd 8000 or are they the same size and is it just the spool size Which is larger these are the first affinity reels ,if anyone got 3 for sale let me know please cheers
