In reply to Post #2 The challenge is deeper use WiFi and not proprietary 2.4GHz like most other vendors use.
WiFi gives a direct smartphone interface so you get a nice app which integrates well, it’s better for firmware updates and app features which can just be pushed out.
Better sonar visualisation (high res maps, overlays etc)
And as higher bandwidth you can do more over this one link,
Albeit the distance challenges.

In reply to Post #3 Looks good value! Sonar def not Deeper standard but being totally honest I remember using the old Smartcast Sonar that was simply black blocks / tetris style and probably caught more fish!

Thanks, also been looking at the new Angling Technics Ultracat S. That has sonar, gps and autopilot and it’s £1000. Seems decent value for what you get.

In reply to Post #1 If its the 750 then I personally wouldn't bother (I've never owned one so can only make assumptions). . .although its nice to have 'integrated' sonar that runs off the battery (less agg / things to charge) I'm not sure the quality / sonar beam widths are as good as a Chirp+2/+3 and from a price perspective no real saving, so at least with deeper you can also use it on a rod etc which is better value.
Only thing that might swing it is range / connectivity; I'm assuming the built in RM has an internal signal booster? - Deeper, even with a range extender can be hit and miss especially in adverse conditions, however if your only using the boat up to 80yds (which is probs about the limit for a boat of this size) then no worries . . .

What is the echo like on these boats? How is it in comparison to say deeper? I’m looking at getting a boat and would like sonar but 2k is a lot to be paying for a boat! Thanks
