I use 6000t’s on my 3.5 HI’s, this is because the water I fish is weedy and I use 20lb big game straight through. I find the bigger spools help with casting thicker lines (comes off the spool easier).

Not a big pit but a mint set of original castizms be my choice Rob. I wish shimano would bring out some mini tech mags.

thanks for the feedback the aeros are on my interest list and a pal offered me the SLD basia but I fancy something a bit different - are you using hi's 3?

Stick with Daiwa,im on the latest power aeros and to say im not impressed is an understatement.Ive had the xtd tech mgs and had an issue with anti reverse not engaging.Ive had pretty much all the latest basias and the best one imo is the all black one with the wooden handle,the 45 sld i think it is.

Afternoon all
I have some new Hi s 3lb enroute and Id like some new reels to go with them, Im currently using Basia custom dc3 on 12'6 3.25 and fancy a change and ive had basia qd, qdx in the past
Thinking Ultegra or Black mags maybe power aero but Im interested if anyone has gone through a similar journey and has any recommendations or something else to suggest
