Baitworks hard hookers are solid! Needle goes through them ok and they stay hard for a couple of days
With some mesh on them you would be fine I reckon

In reply to Post #1 Thank you hookbait of choice and cure these in salt for x weeks. They will become rock hard!

If they're decent sized crays shrink or mesh is pointless, fun for the crays tho

In reply to Post #1 Not what you're asking but what about a bait cage with your boilie inside?

In reply to Post #1 Why not just get some of the shrink wrap for your usual baits?

In reply to Post #1 In your situation I’d go 80% regular basemix, 10% egg albumen, 10% whey gel, boil for 5 mins and air dry for 24hrs before freezing. May or may not need a bait drill to mount on a hair, so make sure you’re carrying one.

I'm after the hardest of hookbaits - one of the lakes is completely overrun by crayfish but I want to fish with bait - not plastic/ something artificial. What are the hardest real baits out there. Probably go 20-24mm as I think size helps a bit with the krays
