In reply to Post #74 So exactly what I said then, except 500 instead of 600 lol.
Well done, it’s a bit fiddly, but easy enough once you’ve sussed it
Did it! Used HTML image and put width=500> at the end
In reply to Post #72 That’s wiiiiiiide lol 😂
Yeah I have tried that and every other variation I can think of, still is huge
In reply to Post #69 I’m using the HTML full image link if that helps?
Gardner ATTA’s with Kudos frosty white rollers are also quite impressive!

In reply to Post #66 I delete the existing >, put a space and then type width=600>

Kudos tackle 30x15 bobbin heads in frosty white look amazing with isotopes in!!

My picture keeps coming out massive
It's just a case of adding width="600"> at the end of the links
I tried that but it didn't work

My sunday gear
"Audigue - Wildie" rods, first gen with cork handles.
SS1600 for UK style !
In reply to Post #63 Made some but the first set of pics the ground was too hard and used modern ones. The second pics, obviously stage stands 👍

In reply to Post #62 Disappointed in the sticks tho, was expecting wood at the very least
Iirc, Keith @ Defiant makes some lovely wooden sticks ....I was very tempted.

In reply to Post #61 Thought I’d show a change from all black setups

In reply to Post #60 Very different, love the net

A few pics of my ‘alternative’ split cane vintage gear. This is my ‘alter ego’ set up when I want to escape the pressures of life, including modern carping and all the associated hype, social media and Wannabees.

Rods are hand made by myself to my design 12’ 2 piece approx 2 1/2 TC. Landing nets is also handmade to a design by Richard Walker and the indicators are homemade too.

In reply to Post #58 Done, great suggestion, old thread removed, thanks mate 👍
In reply to Post #57 Sticky this.
The tarty tackle was on page 60, but all the previous stuff was lost in the great forum server crash of 24/25
Would everyone prefer this post made a 'sticky' or prefer a continuation of the original 'Tarty Tackle' thread?
In reply to Post #48 Took me 5 or 6 edits to get it that far
In reply to Post #54 Just to point out Andy, 'HTML full linked' as per your pic
Edit, I use IMGBB too, great hoster, just remember to resize your pics b4 uploading.
In reply to Post #51 once youve uploaded your pic, at the bottom choose html linked like I have and copy the link

In reply to Post #51 Yay, it worked! Thanks Andy 👍🏻

In reply to Post #50 First attempt…

In reply to Post #49 imagebb, upload the picture and then click html full linked and paste it onto the post on here, really easy compared to how it used to be
In reply to Post #48 I used to use photobucket to post pics on here, but not used it for years and account got closed down. What hosting site is best to use nowadays, assuming that’s the way we still have to do it?

In reply to Post #46 As per Vossy's post (#9)
Oh and keep to 600 pixels wide or less...or the page looks wiiiidddeee
It's just a case of adding width="600"> at the end of the links

In reply to Post #44 jag nano/mini pod, only difference is the the length of the centre bar, I have both lengths
In reply to Post #22 AndyClark, what make of pod is that in your pictures please?
Last one, honestly...stainless...black...carbon...ooh my...yes it's a tall image.
In reply to Post #41 Love it
In reply to Post #40 I would have worried about that if I got a run 😂😂
In reply to Post #39 Not sure how far that margin extends to the left but a run on the LH rod could be a lot of fun ...or is that part of the 'challenge'
Folded handles ...and you're worried about pods...
About as tarty as I get, folded handles and not a pod in sight 👌

In reply to Post #37 I have a jag pro lite grey micro I think they were called the one that folds into 4 that everyone copied.
used it once lol
However
I always have a set of cross bars in the rod bag if I need to make one up.
Along with stage stands I could cobble something to cope with any bank I come across
I used to have the Gardner one with the plastic ends that had 4 ally sticks that crossed over.
So bad it was great haha
In reply to Post #31 I've used a pod since my original Gardner one in about '84. I'm still a nod. Just past caring.
And just as you relax...to totally mess with your head
In reply to Post #34 And...relax

Pods for nods and sticks for dicks...guess I'm both
Love my bait boat too, don't forget bush whackers for fackers
Stop hitting me those negative ways, each to their own

In reply to Post #31 A pods and bait boat section
In reply to Post #30 Agreed pods for nods. they should have their own thread somewhere in the darkest corners of the forum
Since when were pods allowed in “tarty tackle” lol
In reply to Post #28 Loving the pod, what is it?..Edit, see it's in the wording.
EDIT, great pics Andy, different
It's been a while since I've been out but this is the current arrangement, got some new fox halo black bobbins to swap on this year. The pod is K&K
In reply to Post #26 Nice one, thank you.
In reply to Post #25 solid mate, pegged at the back, storm poles in the front into the ground, I find if you nip the front and rear buzz bar bolts with an Allen key and use the jag locking tool to make sure the buzz bars are tight its solid

In reply to Post #21 Does this set up hold itself in place ok? I’ve heard the micro/nano can be a bit twisty?

In reply to Post #19 Don't let us stop you if your keen
I've given up trying with pics if I'm using my phone. These sausage fingers just mess it up all the time.

Just about to whip me pants off when i remembered this is a fishing forum

In reply to Post #17 If you look at some of my previous posts I have the tact of a brick I do try though

In reply to Post #16 "those that want to will"
Are you a politician Vossy mate?
In reply to Post #15 Not at all mate. We need to start a new Tarty Tackle thread, it's fun and like you say, good to see others 'stuff'. I know it's not the easiest to post pics but once your used to it it's easy enough, and those that want to will.
Just wish I had tarty stuff to post a pic of
In reply to Post #13 Seems I opened a "can of worms" here. Apologies for that
And yes I couldnt buy anything anymore but people are so creative so it would be fun to see what they are fishing with.
Have a great day and a great season!
In reply to Post #10 Every single time I try to post a picture i have to edit the post 3 or 4 times before I get it right
In reply to Post #12 I've no idea. The other forum is altogether more user-friendly.
You can put both pictures and videos on no bother.
It definitely gets people posting more.
In reply to Post #11 Oh for sure, but I'd imagine that means TCF hosting the pics, is that costly, and if the forum servers go down like they have in the past.
In reply to Post #10 It definitely can be easier. The other forum I'm on you just upload straight from your gallery, as easy as Facebook.
In reply to Post #9
It's not that hard really, just use a free photo storing place like imgbb, upload your pics, select full html linked, copy and paste....can it be much easier ?
Oh and keep to 600 pixels wide or less...or the page looks wiiiidddeee

Successfully posting pictures on this forum needs a computer science degree

In reply to Post #6 Nah, buy whatever makes you happy and sod what anyone else thinks or says
In reply to Post #1 Don't buy anything unless it's going to put more carp on the bank. Maybe a pack of expertly sharpened hooks in your most used pattern. Or a good pair of Polaroid sunglasses.
In reply to Post #2 When I saw the title I thought it was a new carry on film 😂😂😂
Just start a new Tarty Tackle
1st line, I'll show you mine, if you show me yours
In reply to Post #1 Then dont buy anything
In reply to Post #1 Got to be careful with the thread name! lol
I have run out of ideas what to buy next really and always appreciate new ideas reg. custom rods, reels, bankware etc..
The tarty tackle thread is not available anymore it seems so I hope you will share pictures of your set ups here incl. interesting small brands if there are any left nowadays.
If not aligned with forum rules moderators please delete this, thank you!
