In reply to Post #6 I don't know if this helps but i am currently having a set of 3.5.customs built at century so they may still have some blanks available if they are discontinuing them. Been using the 3.25s for years and they're lovely rods, plenty of back bone but with a decent action to them, they will cater for most scenarios and methods. Oddly enough i have added a band of whipping on the joints on my old ones and the ones i am having built as it always bugged me slightly although in use you really can't see it, most likely something to do with the way they centre grind the joint.

In reply to Post #5 I asked my shop of they can get a 3,25 lbs in, so I can try it out real life. They had a 3,5 and that felt very good, just a tad too stiff. I hope the 3,25 lbs is perfect.
One thing I think is a bit strange with the Adv1 and that's the 'edge' or ridge on the male section of the overfit joint that isn't flush to the blank. I wonder why that is or Century didn't placed some whippings over that part.

That’s what total tackle told me when I tried to order a 4th. Ended up getting it from Johnson Ross.
Tip is fine , very similar in action to my friends Torrix.
I like the stealth build as it’s understated.

Hi folks, I'm in the market for new rods and have narrowed it down to these two. Has anyone experience with with either rod? Which Should I go with? I need them to be an all rounder, 12ft, up to 100 yards and solid bags. I do prefer a stiffer tip section, I've just got used to that with shoddy technique and current rods.
I'm open to suggestions in this price range too.
Thanks,
Ben.
