In reply to Post #15 Pb 24lb that is same diameter as many other 15lb lines, and breaks at 15lb, its just over rated 15lb line...
Oh, but it casts really well for 24lb line

In reply to Post #14 Looks like it’s coming out at those figures according to the tackle box tests

In reply to Post #12 Tried many, and happy with TA OGX right now, but interested in trying the Control with the positive feedback I've heard.
Would you say the 24lb is a typical 0.35, as stated?
Thanks, Dan.

In reply to Post #1 Kaizen in 18 lb is really good , can wack a 4 oz lead to 30 wraps , I had been using esp loaded sine it came out but was out of stock last time I respooled so put kaizen on instead and it’s been on my reels every since 👍

In reply to Post #1 I would look at PB control. Im fussy when it comes to gear performing and this has never let me down. I use the 24lb version. Supple, sinks, strong & behaves on spool.

I’d did the same. Couldn’t get on with OGX, have found kaizen way more supple and no coils. Even when it’s kinked folding the rods it pulls straight with little effort

In reply to Post #9 If youre happy no point changing, like people that do that with bait.If youre happy and confident then why change

In reply to Post #8 Ahh fair enough, ive used it for a few years now, respooled by choice probably twice a year and always got on with it. As previously mentioned I might stick to what im happy with to be safe. Cheers.

In reply to Post #7 Yeah, had it on for two trips and it birds nested on a cast.Ive never ever had a mainline do it before, lost all confidence and stripped it off

In reply to Post #1 The 18lb kaizen is the one if you do change, best line ive used in years

In reply to Post #1 Any improvements now are likely to be at best marginal. If someone truly comes out with a line that is transformative better then word of mouth will make that known very quickly.
If you have a line that you like, that has worked for how you fish, and your tackle then I would stick with it vs chasing something new.

In reply to Post #1 I wasn't particularly impressed by the kaizen line. It took a long time to behave properly on the spool, so needs to be managed carefully whilst it beds in. By the end of the week it was ok.
Not too much stretch, and seems pretty tough. It does cast quite well for its diameter though.
For me, its not as tough as GR60, has more stretch than shimano technium and isnt as good overall as them or the original ESP syncro, but it's ok. Ive not used thinking angler line so can't compare
*edit, ive done a week using 15lb, and a week using 18lb. They behave quite similarly to me

Im looking to change my mainline in the next month or so and have been using Thinking Anglers OGX for a couple of years now.
Ive got no reason to look at an alternative mainline as I've been happy with the OGX but I have read and heard some good things about Korda's new Kaizen mainline and wondered if anyone had changed from OGX to Kaizen?
