In reply to Post #12 Think I have sorted something for now. Galaxy assistant. Allows me to use the timer, but instant of one photo, it's allowing upto 10 photos and able to adjust how long between shots. Along the lines of Intervalometer.
I'll give that a try, plus I have ordered a mic with a muff. Might work. I'll try it

In reply to Post #5 Done my head in this week. Chub fishing last week, couple 6lb chub and phone couldn't pick up the cheese or the smile.
Happened a while ago on a couple carps too. Lucky a mate came for a chat and sorted that time.
I really don't like the lower quality of video snap shoots. Guess because I'm use to the screen quality photos.
There's got o be a way around it. I'll try phoning samsung I morning and ask the question to them

In reply to Post #4 I have had one of the older temu lights for a number of years, just more to carry. Ideally a small mic that can pick up me saying cheese.

In reply to Post #1 I've just downloaded the open camera app for Android as on the Pixel phones they've changed something in the AI process and it'll only take 1 photo on a voice command then you have to go back to the phone and clear it.
App allows you to set number of photos and interval between them. Just push start and it'll shoot away while you hold the fish.

In reply to Post #1 The rhino kit is reasonably cheap and simple to use, I think I picked up the phone holder, ring remote and light for £35. You can get the lights from Ali express for about £5 each I think.
The ring remote really is good and bluetooths to any phone.

In reply to Post #1 I had this...loudly shouting cheese at phone etc then Fk**n Cheese after 5th attempt lol
Just use a cheapo bluetooth remote. Works for me. Some just video and lift the pics from the frame but i found the quality drops (depends on phone).

Use an intervalometer app which you can set to take a photo every few seconds.
I use an iphone and the following 2 apps I'm trying out
photo timer+ (free)
lens Buddy (paid for) has better camera controls

Having a problem in windy conditions. My phone, Samsung s24 ultra, can not hear me shouting at the thing. Cheese, smile, take an find photo. It's doing my head in.
I don't want to go back to slr type camera. I'm very happy with the portrait photos, when phone listens.
So, just need a way to get the microphone to hear me. Does anyone use the mic on the smart watch or even a blue tooth mic. I need easy and not adding more bulk to how I need to do things.
I don't like video and then take stills off the video.
Timer is just one photo, 5 sec or 10 sec. Waste of time if fish flips.
I fish for all sorts so need easy and quick.
