I would go for a proper bait soak, not goo. Plenty out there nowdays that will match your bait. And far cheaper than goo.

I Think that depends on which version of goo it is
One is thinner than the other
And one soaks in quicker
Which is which I honestly don’t know as I have never used them.

I must say, I think I can remember reading on here somewhere that goo is best put on baits which are then used pretty much straight away. Could be wrong there, perhaps someone can confirm.

Generally though, I would say that adding a liquid generally lengthens the life of boilies. Try doing a search on here and have a read of Ken Townley's posts, even though he's not been on here in a while, he's the guru with things about bait. Alternatively, he does some blogs on the Haiths website, have a read through them, I'm certain it will mention something on the subject.

The goo probably has a preservative in it anyway, most likely your boilies too, so I don't think it will affect the shelf life. The only thing I'd be thinking about is them softening/swelling up, if that's a worry, it may not happen anyway, I don't know I've not really used Goo. You see reference to things being soaked in goo for a long time all over Kordas videos, mostly pop ups, granted, if a pop up doesn't swell/blow your boilie isn't likely too imo.

Other liquid example, my S7 glugged hook baits are none shelf life and glugged in one of the liquids, they are around 3 years old. I cant' remember which (liquid food or bait soak) but when experimenting at 1st one of the liquids blew the baits, ie, they swelled up, the other didn't, I use the latter.

Conversely some liquids will draw the water out of your boilies and make them harder, the liquid becoming runnier, that will aid shelf life and is handy for hardening hook baits, glycerine springs to mind, iirc.
