In reply to Post #4 Hi,
I took 8cm off.
I could see down the tube from the other end and the cross bar welding hadn't penetrated the main tube so I just left 2-3 cm for the foot assembly to be able to slide back on

In reply to Post #3 Excellent
How much were you able to cut off.

In reply to Post #2 Great thank you, wasn't sure if there was any sort of retaining lug but a light tap and the foot sections slid off.
Shortened and back together again, much more comfy
Cheers
Neil.

In reply to Post #1 Probably just glued onto the tube.
Find the right sized spanner that fits the tube, then give it a few good taps with a hammer.
How much leg length is there before you come to the horizontal bar though, many of these chairs will have the horizontal just an inch or two above the plastic fitting.

Hi,
hoping someone can help.
I have a Aqua Longback Chair and although comfy it appears to have been designed by flat earthers.
Everywhere I fish has sloping banks and even with the front legs extended I find myself sliding down all the time.
So I want to take a few inches off the back legs. Any ideas how to remove the plastic leg adjuster mechanism (circled below). I can then shorten the leg and hopefully refit the foot.

thanks in advance
cheers
Neil.
