In reply to Post #24 Watched it when it on release wondered where that was. Same with one of the TA Fishing vids, multiple lake site, mainly water sports, quite a few of the lakes ex club unfished. I'm sure he says where in a video on outboard motors (sea fishing type), also think that's how he ended up fishing there, looked nice!

In reply to Post #23 Just had a quick look at the Chilly vid. The arial shots sort of give the game away to its location, as they tend to do.
Glad to see it's still being fished. A lot of water round that area is being lost to other water sport activities.Would love a ticket. But I suppose it's one of those who you know type of waters..

In reply to Post #22 Chertsey is deffo bring fished, i drive past it at least twice a week. Chilly recently did a video there

In reply to Post #20 I know the biggun in Chertsey lake across the road done 60 to Si Bater. Apparently this fished traveled under the motorway via a tunnel from Thorpe park. Think that fish is long gone? Not even sure if the lake is fishable as it was bought privately when Cemex sold of there waters.

In reply to Post #19 I know they are all very hush hush but I'm sure I've seen something about one of those lakes producing a 60 a few years ago

In reply to Post #14 good luck, i have made contact several times and been told there's no waiting list atm nor is there likely to be one. The old rmc Chertsey on the opposite side of the M3, I used to fish it, would love to get back on there but I gather its who you know unfortunately

Might have to go for a noisy. See what I can find out.

There's banging ex Thames fish in most of them pits being mentioned. At times that whole little area gets connected by extreme floods to the river.
My mate from Kent had a ticket for both the big one, and the smaller one at the back that's kept more hush hush. That was seven or eight years ago now. He had some 'proper' ones whilst fishing there. Quite certain it was the same bloke running both from what I remember.
All that information could be out of date now.

In reply to Post #15 Like most club tickets these days. Long waiting list. That's a shame..

In reply to Post #14 Unfortunately not. You have to live in a certain local postcode and even then, there was a long waiting list. It's probably easier to get into Dinton!

In reply to Post #13 Is the Runnymeade club open access, do you know? Looks like a bit more fishing in the area than I thought.

In reply to Post #11 A small syndicate was formed on Longside about 3 years ago. Couple of friends were in it. The stock was/is very low and whilst a couple of big fish were seen, little of much size was caught (I'm told).
Apart from that, you have Runnymeade that have access to Abbey, Beomonds. Plus a small syndicate on the snaggy Sanctuary at the West of the park..that one is an invite only/dead mans shoes job.

In reply to Post #11 Fished a lake in Shepperton that had loads of really dark old mirrors in that got converted into an open swimming lake.

In reply to Post #10 Longside that's the one the other side of Thorpe village across the M25. I'm sure a pal of mine used to fish it. Bit of a free for all at the time apparently. Dont think he had much or anything out of there. We seem to be losing a lot of water at the moment to these open water swimming clubs or even these aqua parks. Wasn't Nutty Lane lost to this?

In reply to Post #5 He said Longside lake but thats being used as open water swimming and paddle boarding at the moment so not sure if thats the right lake.

In reply to Post #8 Yes it was Fleet lake that i walked round one side, its connected to Abbey lake which is the main bridge you walk over to access the park.

A friend of mine bought a Pike ticket for the lower lake (they might all be joined for all I know)
The St Anns section, south of the park.
He said he bought it off some 'bloke' who just happened to be walking around. I laughed...probably some pikey pretending to be a bailiff/owner.
He's Pike fished it last winter though.
Those Shark cabins appear to be north/east on Fleet lake

Friend of mine has put us both down for the lake at Thorpe Park. No idea what its called though.

In reply to Post #2 I know when RMC were about they run a grace and favour syndicate on there. Mainly I think to remove stock for there other venues. Thorpe park common, Horton etc. It's such a massive lump of water. It would be a shame if angling weren't allowed on certain parts.

We were with the kids a couple of weeks ago staying in the shark cabins, i saw some big carp when having a drink at night.
Plenty of water sports but never saw anyone fishing.
|
|
|

Longshot I know. As threads in the venue section don't seem to get much traction.( for obvious reasons )But does anyone know if there's fishing allowed on I think it's called St Ann's lake on the Thorpe amusement park. I often go past it and see water sports and an aqua park on there. But was wondering if it was fishable and if so who controls it.
