Like most club tickets these days. Long waiting list. That's a shame..

Unfortunately not. You have to live in a certain local postcode and even then, there was a long waiting list. It's probably easier to get into Dinton!

Is the Runnymeade club open access, do you know? Looks like a bit more fishing in the area than I thought.

A small syndicate was formed on Longside about 3 years ago. Couple of friends were in it. The stock was/is very low and whilst a couple of big fish were seen, little of much size was caught (I'm told).
Apart from that, you have Runnymeade that have access to Abbey, Beomonds. Plus a small syndicate on the snaggy Sanctuary at the West of the park..that one is an invite only/dead mans shoes job.

Fished a lake in Shepperton that had loads of really dark old mirrors in that got converted into an open swimming lake.

Longside that's the one the other side of Thorpe village across the M25. I'm sure a pal of mine used to fish it. Bit of a free for all at the time apparently. Dont think he had much or anything out of there. We seem to be losing a lot of water at the moment to these open water swimming clubs or even these aqua parks. Wasn't Nutty Lane lost to this?

Yes it was Fleet lake that i walked round one side, its connected to Abbey lake which is the main bridge you walk over to access the park.

A friend of mine bought a Pike ticket for the lower lake (they might all be joined for all I know)
The St Anns section, south of the park.
He said he bought it off some 'bloke' who just happened to be walking around. I laughed...probably some pikey pretending to be a bailiff/owner.
He's Pike fished it last winter though.

Those Shark cabins appear to be north/east on Fleet lake

I know when RMC were about they run a grace and favour syndicate on there. Mainly I think to remove stock for there other venues. Thorpe park common, Horton etc. It's such a massive lump of water. It would be a shame if angling weren't allowed on certain parts.

We were with the kids a couple of weeks ago staying in the shark cabins, i saw some big carp when having a drink at night.

Plenty of water sports but never saw anyone fishing.

Longshot I know. As threads in the venue section don't seem to get much traction.( for obvious reasons )But does anyone know if there's fishing allowed on I think it's called St Ann's lake on the Thorpe amusement park. I often go past it and see water sports and an aqua park on there. But was wondering if it was fishable and if so who controls it.
