Probably worth keeping 2 in the kit for just those occasions.
Even if you own a stand up on its own type shelter

Im sure they aren't available anymore i still use some and are great but for the hardest of grounds.

I did buy some of the tnt pegs which are very heavy in comparison but are far stronger i keep these in the boot of the car for the odd occasion i might them

Might be OTT for many places but the ones that screw into the ground using a cordless drill are great. You need to put the drill in reverse to get them out.

JRC lightweight pegs if you can still get hold of them.

I got mine with an X lite bivvy and they are half the weight of most others.

Them JAG Excavator pegs look good Light, yes. Does it really make that much difference. But does a tent peg really warrant the price.

Yep, I wouldn't be too happy losing one. I seem to remember a old post on here where someone had some of theirs nicked too.

Via Mondo Meteor tent pegs for me. I've used bright yellow tent/bivvy pegs since the early 90s as I got fed up of losing black ones.

Cheapest possible. Ngt are fine. It's not necessary to over engineer a bivvy peg. It is however possible to overcharge for a basic item.
