For me it depends on the worm's,dendros and brandlings id use a bit of peat free compost, for lobworms use topsoil and a little turf lid. A bit of vermaculite mixed through helps with aeration and moisture retention and as andy said check them fairly regularly.

I used to store mine for weeks on the floor of the garage or shed in the hessian sack they come in, once a week i would get them out and remove any dead ones as they dont do well with dead worms in there.

Hi All,

Once bought how long do worms normally last?
Any recommendations for storing them before a session?
