Just tied some hinges up using x small chod krimps and 20lb iq, hopefully will be ok. Never had any issue with the normal ones and the korda boom stuff

I only use them on the chod sections, but provided your boom isn't too thick (as per Korda guidance) then I don't see why not. If they'll deal with intense strain on a chod then they'll be fine for any application in conjunction with suitable hooklink / boom material I'd have thought.
