In reply to Post #8 I've seen you mention those before, just had a nosey, like the look of those. I didn't want to use my bedchair cover but had thought about buying another espesh as most are waterproof but that blanket looks much better for the job
Edit, still thinking about the heated gear too, Preston started that with me, like the idea of the seat box pad for my chair or foot end of bed to keep tootsies warm....I know...jessy 🤣

I've used the 'Icebreaker' brand of merino wool thermals for years when riding enduro bikes in the depths of winter. Fantastic thermals.https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/brands/icebreaker.html

In reply to Post #5 Just to add, I personally find using a blanket over your legs to keep the wind off in the 1st place is a game changer, not very carpy but hey ho, as is the wind coming from behind your chair.

If your sitting down and not very active sadly very little keeps the cold out.
Layering is the best approach merino or look at some of the mountain brands like Rab or paramo, they have grid fleeces which from memory trap in the air and are supposed to help keep you warmer and very breathable. But unfortunately, I refer back to my first point.
Also keep the wind out so top everything off with a good breathable wind proof layer
Sorry rambling... Also make sure everything is as breathable as you can afford, if it isn't you'll be wet inside your shell and will end up being cold and wet.
