In reply to Post #30 That was a great thread and that's a great story, I'm not sure I'd have gone back, also leaves the Q open to me, what's at the bottom of that lake nothing I hope.
I've bumped the thread in case anyone hasn't read it or has more to add, not sure mines in there either, it was in others somewhere.

Another one I have thought about from when I used to go to the race's in the 70's is Mallory Park. But, it is a motorcycling race track but it does have club fisheries in the middle of it but looking them up they are just general coarse fisheries with carp predominant up to 20lb and you have to be a member of the club to fish them

Nah mate my fishing days are as good as over.

In reply to Post #1 If your thinking of combining your fishing with watching the Races. I think you'll find the corses that have lakes don't allow fishing on race days... spoil sports..

In reply to Post #1 Which Racecourse?? Seen a few diffrent ponds stuck in the middle of the Racetrack when watching the Racing. Often wondered if there's any carp in them. As you do as a carp angler..
The only one I know that is, or was fishable was Kempton. Races.

Intrigued more than anything as unsure who actually runs them or what is in them.
Thanks in advance.
