In reply to Post #24 Well, I ordered a pair of the Trail trousers today to try, also a pair of the woodland trousers. Thought I'd try the Trail shorts too as the Helikons I wear aren't the cheapest and a NF Pique polo.....we'll see!

In reply to Post #23 The Trail trousers in 'Wood'. Lovely fit for me. 👍

In reply to Post #22 Glad to hear you got sorted mate Do you mind me asking which ones you went for? I quite like the look of the ones that have the raised rear but lower front for the same reason as you.
There's some good prices on there at the mo and I'm tempted to order several pairs at once, so if they dont fit I can send them back in one go, rather than dribs and drabs.

In reply to Post #17 Just a big thank you for the heads-up on these trousers. Absolutely spot on. One of the biggest issues I've had finding some decent ones is that they are often high waisted which are useless if you have any sort of a belly as they just hang off your arse. These however are perfect with a low rise and semi elasticated waist. So good I bought another pair. Cheers. 👍

In reply to Post #18 I tried to buy a Percussion fleece iirc but it was too sculpted for my adonis like stature, so I got the Hogg OF one which would make a sack of spuds look good (and did)
Got to say I was a bit gutted it was very nice.

In reply to Post #17 Great website

In reply to Post #14 I got a pair of those also. They're one of the most comfortable trousers I've worn. They remind of the the Karrimor Panthers with the stretchy fabric, which are also very comfy.
Having said that, I usually wear my Propper camo BDU's fishing. I'm old school.

In reply to Post #16 You wont go wrong with Jack Pyke or Deerhunter. I like my so called country or hunting stuff.
New Forrest clothing do some nice stuff too and not too pricey, what I like the most, a lot of it is reviewed by people who use it for a living, day in day out.

EDIT, I bought a Hoggs of Fyfe fleece from NF, love it, some good offers on fleeces too.

I have some Jack Pyke Weardale ones. They are pretty hard wearing and I wear them in summer and winter.

I bought a pair of those Aldi's were selling a little while back for about £12, I did not think they would be up to much, but they were that good I went out and bought a second pair and since then, I have never took them off even as my casual daily wear clobber even on a night down town etc
I don't know what they are made off, probably something similar to pertex, but the fabric is extremely light, you hardly know that you are wearing them, I thought they would be cold, but they proved me wrong, even in a cold wind, they are windproof and retain the warmth. And extremely fast drying, and even after a weeks wear, don't start to smell.
But, if I have any reservations about them, I doubt they would be "tough" enough to be pushing through briars and hedges etc without ripping them so for places I fish like that, I will stick to my German Army Moleskin trousers

In reply to Post #1 Personally wear joggers in the colder months where they are definitely warmer than cargo trousers. Then switch to cargo ones for early summer into autumn. Used to wear Craghoppers like a few here but found they weren't lasting long and stitching going on seams.
For joggers I wear Kumu which have been great quality and then revolution race for cargo which sit well between cheaper brands and then the top end like Fjallraven.

In reply to Post #7 Love these
Columbia rapid rivers cargo pants
Comfy and lightweight and not too pricey

In reply to Post #1 I picked up some fairly cheap khaki cargos from m&m direct. Lightweight, water resistant material. Draw cuffs on legs and waist. Really comfy. In fact just ordered the same design in shorts. Ideal trouser for spring/summer fishing. In winter with long johns underneath they’re good too. Prefer my salopettes though when it’s too cold.

There not cheap but the best cargo fishing pants ive found are fjallraven. Its all i wear on a daily basis as well even when im not fishing. Got a few pairs.

I have two both Craghopper Kiwi trousers one lined for winter use. Had them both for years. Bit baggy for today's more tailored look. But still going strong.

In reply to Post #1 My Craghopper Kiwis had a hole in the cargo pocket so I splurged on some Korda Kombats as an impulse purchase - and they're actually pretty good. Inner zipped hip pocket is handy for keys / vaper when bending down etc (without losing stuff) and cargo pockets on each leg are handy for margin baiting missions when filled with 10mm boilies etc . . . .Trousers are lightweight / material is decent and dries quickly unlike heavier jogger material etc. Like all Korda gear you need to size up from your normal . . .

The time has come to renew the wardrobe of fishing trousers!
Been looking at the Korda Original Kombats and Heavy Joggers, but I’m not sure about the carp-tax!
Anyone have any recommendations for eBay or Amazon?
Also, I normally wear a light material trouser. Do you think joggers would be more comfortable in the summer?
