Korda Medium. Very impressed with it. No twisting and good grouping. So impressed I bought the Heavy and thats equally as good.

Short angle with no accuracy at all I’d recommend the overpriced Jag pult - the only mistake they’ve made but it’s a clanger

I find any catapult works for long or short distance so long as you remove the elastic it comes with and replace it with "Surgical Elastic" from Ebay. The elastic catapults come with is usually far too stiff and does not have the elasticity which helps with accuracy and seems more powerfull.

Same with the pouch, I just buy one of Ebay.

This is the stuff I use on all my catapults. I avoid the coloured as that never seems right and just stick to the natural coloured elastic.

Sorry to hijack the thread but what catapult do people recommend for surface baits? I've got a green guru one that needs new elastic, what elastic would you put on? Cheers

My favourite catapult for short distance work is the Drennan Match Caty

Do t know how many times I've recommended pults on here when these threads crop up. But for me there's only one. The Drennan feeder pult.Used one for 30 yrs plus. Not found anything better.
The only issue believe you have buying one of these now is they have apparently done away with the pouch and replaced with a cup. But that can easily be sorted.

The drennan boilie pult is the best one I’ve used. I find it very accurate for multiple baits at close to medium range. Annoyingly I lost yet another one in the undergrowth either last night or this morning so just ordered one. Think I’ll be putting some luminous tape on the handle of this one.

The drennan match catty cannot be beaten for single baits imo

Get yourself a guru catapult, I use them for all my river/barbel fishing, and when carp fishing will put 4 boilies out per pouch really tightly and so accurate it’s ridiculous

I use the Drennan Revolutions in green or orange. They're also ideal for floaters and pellets.

Korda Katapult.

I've got the medium & it's the best catapult I've ever used for multiple bait's - no twist.

I also have a Guru Original for singles which is also very good.

I find myself using the Guru the most as it's just so handy, accurate & suits my usual baiting approach.

For single baits you cannot beat the match pults, drennan or guru but sure there are others

Looking for a catapult that isn't to powerful and will put baits out 30/ 40 yards max accurately, with plenty of feel .
