In reply to Post #13 Agreed, Transporter has been better than my Carp Porter MkII (which I had for over a decade. The drop in bag, which opens from both sides as well as the top, is handy, as are the mesh storage sections. I don’t use the bucket clips but I’d imagine they’re handy for people who take loads of buckets. Straps are also good.

In reply to Post #6 I hadnt actually heard of it before, just googled it quick and it looks from the oictures
To be pretty much the same as the explorer. Assumed it was a replacement model

In reply to Post #7 The fatboy has a wider wheel so the struts are further apart on the frame. Not sure if you can get anything to adapt it to allow for the thinner puncture proof wheel. Pretty sure the rest is the same, but you can buy different struts to adapt the standard to take a fatboy wheel.

In reply to Post #7 Yes it can be motorised in the future

In reply to Post #5 I do like the look of the Fox one. I need to check if it can be motorised in the future.
In terms of the Carp Porter range - why is the standard Mk2 better in your mind? Is it just the wheel?

In reply to Post #5 Transporter is bigger than explorer

In reply to Post #1 Dont know if the transporter will be much bigger than the porterlite to be honest. Its looks to be the same as the fox explorer, which ive just swapped for a carp porter mk2 fatboy, as i needed a little more capacity.
I should have got the standard mk2 though. Didnt know they did a puncture proof wheel before i bought one.

In reply to Post #3 I got lucky and picked up an old mk5 power porter
Was in great condition with loads of luggage
But I was looking at the mk2 before that to replace my porterlite

In reply to Post #1 Any others worth considering?

In reply to Post #1 The transporter is superb, carries loads and so easy to manoeuvre

Have sold my porterlite as I need something a little bigger. Not going to be able to stretch to a powerbarrow but need a new one.
Have been looking at the Fox Transporter and the Trakker X-Trail Compact. Anyone got one of these? Or are there others worth looking at?
Carp Porters... mostly seem out of stock in lots of places but would definitely consider one of those if they are recommended.
thanks in advance
