Had this a lot on a lake that I fished, small tench and carp doing it. Change to hinge rigs or blowback rigs with baits out of the bag and stringers worked a treat. I was fishing Ronnies with 12mm pop ups over crumb/ micro pellet etc, changed to whole boilies and sorted straight away

Put one rod on a running lead with smaller hook/bait and simple knotless knot rig.

It could catch the nuisance fishes and get them out of your swim or nail the biggest in the lake

I don't know whats the Stock there. But this sounds like small fish to me. They pick only the food item and run away.

Both rigs don’t leave a lot of spacing between hook and bait.
I would try a combi rig (stripped coating) with a curve shank and 1.5cm spacing between bend of hook and the bait

Screaming runs....
I'd suggest a tighter clutch/baitrunner as this extra tension helps pull the hook in further, and there is less of a bounce when you pick the rod up and tighten down to the fish.

My mate was suffering hook pulls when barbel fishing and his drag was too slack on the take, so when he turned the handle and the baitrunner engaged there was a sudden bump and he had hook pulls.
Be sure to have the rods secured.

Also inturned points and curve shanks will grab hold better and much less likely to drop fish.

Sure its not a fish trailing a rig and swimming through you?

have you actually connected and played any of fish after you have lifted into it?

Hive mind help needed! Currently at orchid and have had 3 hook pulls in a row. All 3 have been screaming runs, lifted up the rod and almost immediately the fish has come off. 2 were on slip d presentation and 1 on a Ronnie. Sharp hooks (not sharpened by me) and rigs that have always been fine for me.

Any suggestions? Lots of weed so not sure if just the spot I'm fishing and fish hits weed straight away which knocks hook out? But getting very frustrated given potentially what might be on the end.

Size 4 precision curved hooks, 8" rig length.

All fished on lead clips with tubing per the rules
