I've tried it a few times but never been able to get a bite with it.

Not allowed post Brexit.

It part of the ‘reset’ talks but France is insisting garlic is a French invention so they want concessions on the UKs fishing rights.

'Fishing with a clove of garlic popped into my head,'

Just had visions of an angler sitting there with a clove of garlic stuck in their ear, nostril or between the lips.

good luck with the experimentation

We did this when we were kids, I don't think we caught anything but did discover garlic cloves float so we fished it like a popup.

One we did have success with during the summer were opal fruits, only lasted an hour or so, but moulded straight on the hook made.for easy fishing 🙂

Sitting there at work thinking ahead of what to fish with on an experimental rod..
Fishing with a clove of garlic popped into my head, so I've done a little search and nothing other than powders has come up.
I gather fishing a whole clove isn't that good?? Has anyone tried this.
Be interesting to see what else people have tried that's around the house and in baits in there powdered form
