This really depends on how you like to pack your rods, swap a lot, take just enough or 5.
I recently went from Speedo quiver and sleeves to Korda Compac 5 Rod. Love it and find it more compact and just easier to use. I use 3 + Spod in winter and 2 + Spod in summer, and I’m wondering if would have been even more compact with a 3 Rod sleeve and separate 1 Rod to attach in winter. But I do like the space to carry 2 nets and 2 retention slings on the outside.

Not sure about the best, but I recently picked up a Fox R series tri sleeve which was reasonably priced and I’m really pleased with it

Has anyone compared the carplife and korda compac holdalls side by side?
Is either noticeably smaller?

No complaints for the Korda Compac here too.

I have the 5 rod (3 up, 2 down) 13ft and it's a third of the size of my 15yr+ aged Daiwa bag. Made packing the car easier and seems well thought out with good features.

Another vote for the Sonik, I bought a 13ft one for my 12:6” free spirits and was so impressed I bought another in 12’ for my other rods
Great design having two up one down makes it really compact.
50mm butt rings and Big pits are fine

Always used cotswold for rod holdalls but my mate has just got a carplife holdall and that is superb. More padding and even has waterproof zips. Its the best holdall ive seen.

Aqua definitely my preferred one. I got it as a bundle with some rods for a bit extra but it's the one I'd buy again.

Korda Compac (which I do like btw) is pretty much NXG in Korda Camo . . . weren't Korda previously in bed with Trakker?

Agree with the below, Korda Compac for me, has more packets than you can shake a stick at - well thought out holdall, wouldn't be without mine now..

I also had the 5 rod ca and found it too big and bulky so went to a 2 rod ca for my spod and marker and a 3 rod trident for my rods - its a few years old now but plenty of room loads of pockets and ive never had any issues

I do use TA tip tops to keep rods together I always have just find it easier

Korda compact - excellent build with enough pockets and clips on the outer for anything else you may need. Obviously with the name it's car friendly being slimline

I tried quite a few when i got new rods,

CA 3 rod sleeve, nice and roomy, not as good quality as theyde have you believe, does the job but i felt the rods could clatter around too much so needed tip top things, which made packdown more of a faff

fox camolite 3 rod sleeve, like everything about it, well made, too tight for my liking around 50mm rings

Trakker nxg 3 rod sleeve, as the CA and needed tip tops

Aqua 3 rod sleeve, as the trakker nxg, but overpriced

What i have eventually settled on is the thinking anglers quiver and sleeves. Not perfect, and build quality does leave a little to be desired, but its fairly well thought out, fast to pack away, takes up little room in the bivvy, and cheap compared to some others
Id like it to have have better pockets and a larger central pocket, but they arent game changers with it

Might not be the 'best' (in terms of sexiness / camotastic appeal) but the Trakker NXG 3 Rod Sleeve in all sizes (10'/12'/13') is solid in terms of rod protection / relative minimal bulk / carrying comfort / versatility / value. . . . I have several and they have stood the test of time

As per title - I'm wondering what the best rod holdall around at the moment is?

I've got a CA 5 rod holdall, but looking for something a bit smaller and for 3 rods.
Thanks
