Lake Alexandria was the original name for Golden Gates before it was handed back to the current owner then leased. Which it has been fornover 15yrs or more.

Tickets do come up.

The square lake on thebopposite side of thebtrack is run by the local rrsidents who also control access to what was, South Essex Carp Fishery.

Thats no fishing and sits behind the Galv fencing. Very little in there by what I understand.

Then down the track is Thurrock AC and GWAC

Thurrock has a 6-8yr waiting list. GWAC, zero chance.

No it's not either of the grange waters.

As clicky has said one is called the square lake I've since found out. Run from a travellers site I think...

The other lake was the one I could see better and that looked lovely but couldn't see anyone fishing it.

Little Grange is Thurrock angling club water, the 2 right next to gg . 1 is called the square lake, its run by the circus people ..the other one is known as mollands Lane but its true name is south Ockendon carp fisheries. Was a very well known lake bitd.
Not sure what's in there nowadays its just left to itself..its either the council or the circus people again who have the rights to it..its where my dad took me many many yrs ago with my jam jar on a string 😆

I've been on the waiting list for the Grange Waters since 2019.
Last update in 2023 I was number 139 on the waiting list. Might chase that up to see where I am now.

Not heard of the other lakes, apart from Golden Gates. had the opportunity to join when it was first opened but there were closer lakes to fish then.

You’ve got Big & Little Grange & Golden Gates, which are deadman’s shoes (run by Kenny Gates) and a small lake next to GG, but don’t know who runs it.

I'm not from the area but had to go there today to have my van looked at and had an hour or so to have a wonder and there were some large lakes behind where I was. I know one is called Lake Alexandria but there were another two close by. I was just interested to know if these belonged to a fishing club?

To be honest I'm not local but I thought I knew a lot of the lakes in Essex (turns out I don't)
