There's no science try it at different rates to see if it effects your catch . For a kilo I would add only up to 10-20%. Keep it cheap.

I would add ground hempseed to that mix too and keep it as dark as possible as sometimes roach dont like feeding over a light mix.
Molehill soil is a free addition (just needs riddling off).

+1 and @ scozza you're not wrong, backed up by a great story in one of his books re Roach.
Another of his books to look out for, Magic Book on Bait Flavourings

This is turning out to be a lot more expensive than I thought it would. Oh for the days as a 7 year old, when I would go fishing for the day with a 30 year old cane rod, half a pint of maggots, a centre pin reel with some old 4lb line on it, and catch fish all day long.

There was something special going on with his powder blends that's for sure

I once used one on a water that i had fished for years, attracted roach Rudd and crucians i think it was, a spice blend, anyway, first time out i was catching crucians that never really showed before

Get hold of one of Archie Braddock’s books.

‘Fantastic feeder fishing’ would be a good start.

Can’t remember what it said now but it was something like a teaspoon or 2 per kilo as both are very strong.
Especially aniseed

I'm going to have a bit of a rest from carping until later in the year, and am going to do sone float fishing for Roach. I have bought a sack of brown crumb , and ground coriander and ground aniseed, I'm unsure how much of each spice to add to each kg of breadcrumb .
Has anyone got any experience of such a situation, I've looked online but can't find the quantities to add. T.I.A.
