Sorry I haven’t used it with tubing, just lead core or lead free, used it with a few different inline lead manufactures, some fit, some don’t, like all inline lead inserts.
If they are too tight I just reamed them out with a drill, not used with any that were too big, maybe I was lucky and most of the leads I’ve accumulated over the years(non branded)seem to fit or be a tad small so easily reamed out.

Just had a look at the evolve system and it does look quality to be honest. Have you had experience using it with tubing ? Or other leads not the evolve ones?

I’ve been using it for a while now and love its simplicity, bizarre how you find these things, I’d cobbled something together a couple of years back so I didn’t keep losing big leads on a take.
Was fishing abroad and a Dutch bloke landed a fish for me, asked what my set up was, I explained and he said you should try the Evolve tackle system as it’s a ready made tidy version of what you have.
Reckon he was just being polite and really wanted to say what a pile of crap mine looked 😂😂😂😂😂

Might be worth looking at the Evolve Tackle IN-LINE RUN RING SYSTEM KIT
This is an inline system that’s a bit different, I’ve been using it to good effect, they also have a complete drop off system.

Perhaps I was doing something wrong but I only used them once and found they come off far too easily, even on the cast sometimes.

It does the job it's supposed to and comes off on the take. If you want a system that doesn't always drop the lead, this isn't for you.

Has anyone got much experience using this system? Does the lead drop off every single time? For example on the take or only if it becomes snagged or comes through some weed?
