I've used one of those bayonet gas tin adaptors for years. Definitely saves money on fuel in the warmer months. Surprised no one has carp taxed them yet. Like they have done with the filling valves..

For those of you who want to save a load of money on gas through the summer months, you will need two adapters to go from the C500 cans to the cheapo cans. You may find cheaper, but these will work:

Thinking about getting a 10kg bottle, far far cheaper.

I've started using the cheap 227g yellow butane cans and transferring 2 of them into a C500 can. Need to have one of the cheapo adapters that go between the two cans. Works out just over a quid a can if you buy in bulk, well more like £2.20 odd per C500 can. Perfectly fine for now through until November, at which point, conventional 70/30 propane/butane mix will be better.

I just got 6 x C500 propane/butane mix cartridges on Amazon for £30 delivered, not as cheap as it was but that's a lot of cooking for me.

Ended up with 6 x 445g from Tackle Tavern for £25 delivered, I did find 12 x cans from UKB4C online for £10.99 - that must be a scam though mustn't it?? Too good to be true surely.

Had a look myself at that price. Definitely just butane. Alright for this time of year though.

I saw this as well but I think the gas is butane and not a propane/butane mix like Coleman, etc. I might be wrong but wouldn't want to chance it.
