Managed to source a 2nd hand set of excellent condition wolfs as really wanted a set.
However, same as post 10, i ended up being given another receiver by wolf (still had alot of warranty). I had a couple of issues, but the biggest was the syncing of alarm to receiver, would be out for several seconds.
I also felt they were far too complicated for what you needed them for. I Ended up selling them on.

How many of those people who buy the cheaper alarms would just ditch a set and buy a new one though thinking they've had their value for money, wont hear many complaints that way compared to more expensive alarms where folk feel they should last and work.
I'm not disputing for 1 min the big brands pull our pants down btw.

I've 2 sets of original Micron Ms with xb 1 sounder boxes I used to use on spare sets of rods in France a long time ago, what were they £17 a head back then.
They never let me down and if they did I'd just buy another 1, but on my main rods I want more features than what they had.

At the end of the day you could buy those clip on bells and argue the need for any electronics at all, we like what we like.

It’s funny how Pro Logic , Sonik and even Fox can make three rod plus receiver sets for less than £200 that are waterproof and completely reliable. Yet still people still want to spend £600 on alarms that end up going back because they don’t work.

Ditto, and Wolf etc. It's defo on here, it was someone who'd spoken to the chap at fulcrum, not him himself posting.

Edit, It was on the same thread Braders said it might happen iirc but I think I found that one and it's not there.

Ho hum, shame really.

Thanks for taking the time to post JK, much appreciated

I bought a set last year after a lot of back and forth in my head between those and the RX's after having Delks since the conversions.
6 nights into a 3 week session and the first bit of rain, one died, more rain next day and another one played up became overly sensitive after drying out. Tackle Tavern were 100% helpful and exchanged them for a set of RX's when i got back.
The concept is great, but for the money they ask for them, they need to built them properly and get the fundamentals right. You shouldn't have to hope that you get a good set.

That's a shame. I don't remember that.
I've done a search and can't find anything that member Fulcrum said. Then did a search for the word Fulcrum and still couldn't find anything.
Can you remember the circumstances on how it was announced?

I thought one of the previous threads said Fulcrum was a no go.

I'm very tempted by the Wolf, must admit, not so keen on the sound but you can't have it all!

When I spoke to a shop who had wolf alarms in stock on a very good deal,I was told stick with my rx+.They said I wasn't gaining much for the cost and had a few sets of Wolf with issues.I was then on a PA water and a guy had an alarm just completely die,he wasn't too fussed as had a spare head with him(2 rod rule).I saw him a few weeks later and he'd got rid

A year on, is anyone still using these alarms or has anyone bought any since, any problems etc?

Had them for 2 years and recently sold them, I had a fair few issues which wolf couldn't rectify. Battery life was terrible and I ended up with 2 receivers from wolf to solve the problem

My main issue was the wind bleeps I got. For some reason all 3 of my alarms would bleep in all but the calmest conditions and that was with the settings at their lowest sensitivity
In the end to stop it I had to fish tips under the water and slack lines which wasn't practical at 150yds.

Gone back to Nash r3s which though not as fancy are pretty bulletproof for me

Well made alarms but heavy and bulky.

Don’t really offer anything useful above top other alarms. Features yes but actually useful not so much.

Some issues apparently with the battery life especially the receiver although the set I had seemed fine on lithium batteries tbf

Sure are. I have no experience of Nash or Fox but I'm more tban happy with what I have. They cover everything I require.

Had my set of Qi's for about 18 months and I find them excellent. I don't have the Hubb receiver I have the Qr.
Had a bit of difficulty setting up originally but once you become familiar with the alarms you can set the wheel and vibration to meet all conditions without false bleeps. Battery life is OK, build quality superb but their after sales service is second to none. Had a problem with one of my alarms (my fault), Wolf supplied a replacement for a minimum charge. I would have been free if I had bought it via an authorised agent or direct from them.
Have used Delkims for many years and certainly is an improvement on my old Delkim plus's.

They look terrible but are meant to be excellent. Ive been tempted myself but cant get past how bad they look. Had delk d’s since they came out and they have been brilliant but fancied a change so ordered a set of ecu super plus compacts yesterday as love the look of them and they are also meant to be excellent. I personally think the wolf alarms will eventually follow what happened to the ace i3’s and be consigned to the history books and vanish altogether.

Been very tempted to change my fox rx plus alarms for a set of the Wolf QI alarms with the hubb receiver, i watched lots of videos on the wolf alarms and hubb but iv never seen any on the bank or my local tackle shops.. im a massive fan of build quality esp if there made in the uk , looking for some feedback from people who have used the alarms and receiver pros and cons as it were , how do they compare to the fox rx plus, i do like my rx plus alarms they do everything i need but the build quality is not very good , iv always been delkim before i changed over to the fox rx plus only because i needed to upgrade from my original txi alarms they still work perfectly but there 20 years old and will become my back up set when i go france etc was going to upgrade to the delkim txi d but dont like that alarm at all which is a shame because delkim build quality has always been there , But these Wolf alarms and hubb receiver has really caught my eye and feedback on these would be much appreciated, tight lines !
