Have you noticed a big difference when using the salt & not?

I get coconut sized horse licks from the local farm shop, put them in a hessian sack and drive over them a few times in the van to crush them up.

After watching a vid on YouTube with Mark from Baitworks it's got me wondering on how effective is it really as an attractor?

I've been using it regularly & I'm not so sure if it makes any difference. I think it's more of a confidence boost than anything else.

Has anyone noticed a significant difference with their catch rates?

Did it in the 80s early 90s on a small water, worked a treat. Lasted months but it did get taken out if i wasn't fishing for a good while. A big one on a rope.

If you can drop a horse lick into a margin unseen you will be on a fish gold mine, give it a week and regular small handfulls of chosen bait alongside you will catch.

I get mine from purehimalayansaltstore on eBay and it has always been very good quality. I buy the large rocks and then hammer them to the size I need.

I ordered mine from a garden centre of all places. AA baits do it and it’s about the same price I paid.

Google is your friend though. Have a look about for the best prices.

Small holders/farm supply shops normally sell it. Where about are you from?

Can do that. Or buy the sacks of crushed up stuff. Normally various different sizes you can get.
I looked at the horse salt blocks. It didn’t work out any cheaper than ordering a 20kg sack of crushed stuff.

I am looking to get some pink himalayan rock salt. Are the horse licks any good to break up and use or is there something better to use? Many thanks.
