In reply to Post #27 Tom the bailiff will help you with spots, I came last out of the draw and got one of my fancied pegs. The draw part when he says it really doesn't matter where you end up is accurate, I was sceptical at first but we had fish from all corners of the lake.

In reply to Post #26 Thanks mate, ill have a look later. Was it easy to find spots in the weedier parts? Seen quite a few vids and they seem to suggest that baits tipped with yellow do well? Was going to use boilie, pellet and maize.

In reply to Post #24 We went start of September and had a great week. We managed a fair few fish between us and everyone caught, my mate managed to get a bit on film.

In reply to Post #24 Fished it a few times years back.Very weedy but I didn’t mind that having the boat.
Quite noisy road traffic as it’s alongside a busy road but apart from that it’s up and down all over with clear spots easy to reach, easy fishing

No one fish it this year?

|

Anyone manage to get out this year?
|

In reply to Post #21 Cheers mate. We are not going until May next year so hoping not too hot and they are not ready to spawn. Fished in the area a lot in the last 20 years and never known them to spawn in May but guess there is always a first time!!!

In reply to Post #20 No worries mate. Like I say, the fishing was slow for us due to the fish being on the cusp of spawning, so a trip to the shops came as a welcome break! All the best for the trip.

In reply to Post #19 Ok, thanks mate. Good to know. Will probably stop off at an Intermarche on the way and grab a few bits anyway.

In reply to Post #18 Yes, they have what they call an "honesty fridge" at the lodge which has water, milk, beer and chocolate from memory. You tot up what you take from the fridge at the end of the week and pay it off.

In reply to Post #16 Do they sell anything on site at all? Water, Milk, Beer etc?

In reply to Post #15 Cheaper than Les Quis which is £210.

In reply to Post #15 Yes mate that's what ours come to - £25 per day. Breakfast and dinner were both big meals but would still go to the local intermarche for bottled water etc.

In reply to Post #12 Was quoted £175 for the weeks food?

In reply to Post #13 Think its because the water is so clear.

Sorry I know this doesn't help the OP but I think calling this venue Aquarium is a mistake.
It conjures up in my mind that its artificial, man made.

In reply to Post #11 Fished the Aquarium last week - the fishing was hard going (typical of the time of year) but would love to go back one day. Great venue and the food served up by Tom was great. We had everything from homemade pizzas, Sunday roast, fajitas and curry.
I didn't use a bait boat as it's not really my cup of tea, especially a lake of that size. The weed is dense in one half of the lake although the fish naturally spent a lot of time in amongst it. It is worth using Google Earth to uncover the smaller holes in the weed that don't receive as much angling pressure.

What is the food package like here?

Been looking at this Venue, reading the rules it says Bait Boats are allowed…
I’m not a Bait Boat kind of guy so was wondering if the lake is one of those that are “dominated” by anglers using them?
I get it’s weedy but not worried by that.

In reply to Post #8 What’s the weed situation like? Looks quite heavy in places. Do they blue dye it at all?

Stunning looking fish in here. Not sure how big they go to but just to catch one of those fish would be fantastic.

In reply to Post #2 Sounds good mate 🙌👌

What is the stock like please? Have fished a lot around Soissons and quite interested in this place.

In reply to Post #1 Fished it in May 23 absolutely loved it had 4 fish to 53lb, saw a new lake record caught by a 1st timer to France his 1st fish. Crystal clear water but solid weed approx 2ft below surface. Large clear area one end but only odd clear spots other end. Fish were immaculate and jet black. Complex facilities were spot on and Max is a top bloke, will definitely be going back

Anybody fished this venue since it has been took over or even in its previous name. Looks an interesting lake with some nice looking fish. Any feedback appreciated 👍
