I’d pay to see him live
That’s just brilliant, I’d love a night out talking bait and maybe a little dance 🥳

Seriously though when I come across his work , it reminds me of my note book
When researching bait , lots of exciting avenues , stuff for further investigation
But ultimately ..another dead end 😂

Why did you have to do that and post that video? I just died all over again. That right there is TV gold. Absolute gold. The first ever time i watched it I thought I was going to wet myself.

-"What does your girlfriend do when you do that?"
- "sometimes she says nothing.... sometimes when I get it spot on she joins in"
-" she must love you very much"
- "she does"

I would like to thank Tim personally for the single most funny thing that I have ever seen. Sod carp bait... This is absolute gold dust for putting a smile on your face.

Quote... can anyone summarise what he suggests that is different to others?

You start off with a beat...and then...develop a rhythm.

Thank You.

Do you store it in fridge or in room temperature ?

I understand that more binder equal slower disintegration in water ?

How do You use Your paste ? Only paste or paste mixed with boiles/pellets ? Wrapping aroud lead ? Cork popup ? pva ? Wrapping aroud bait like in feeder fishing ?

I want to learn about making pastes but buying ebook from Tim is too risky for that price, can You recommend any books for making baits (pastes) ?

From the snippets I've read he suggests everything, how he gets time to test all his theories is beyond me.

Far too complicated and sorting the wheat from the chaff is impossible, certainly for me.

He is a clever guy, however ( Cue: see his sponsored bait company at the time or recipes ) he has an often not needed expensive array of ingredients, paired with his vast scientific knowledge and experiments to get lost in.

You try to match that to a average working mans knowledge, bait making time and budget.

Home made Bait IMHO ideally should be quality, as simple, fresh and easy to make as possible.
One less thing to worry about.

"What do You mean aged ? How did u store it, and for how long ?"

Aged as an absolute minimum for 4 months, vacuum sealed (anaerobic) which allows the baits to produce certain organic acids and compounds slowly. I still have some that are now over 6 years old still sealed, would not hesitate to use them in the right situation. Careful blending of binders vs solubles adjusts the longevity of the bait while in the water.

While many make fun of Tim with that you tube clip he does have a valid point with bait formation and design..

"...was on a full on no egg aged cured paste type bait that I have made to last 12 hrs on the hair"

What do You mean aged ? How did u store it, and for how long ?

Could you write a little bit more about at what do I have to pay attention to when it comes to consistency / ingredients and longer durability in water ?

Any tips appreciated

That's why im asking, maybe this guy is not most "stable guy" but his approach to making bait is totally different then others and that's why he is so intriguing.

What he do except doing bait is not my concern but he still sounds (in those yt videos) like he know what he's taking.

Other side - if guy talk with himself and arguing on forum with himself - well....

"Save your money. At best his writing is disjointed and confusing at worst misleading." - this is what I fear the most

I am not one for quotes but this one sprung to mind 'There is no great genius without some touch of madness' Aristotle. Maybe Mr Richardson took this a step too far

If you want to know more about the guy you could try this video of him https://youtu.be/L1As7py64kU

Edit to add, I seem to remember he got banned from here for arguing with himself and claiming he wasn't even when the mods had the two accounts side by side with the same IP address

It very much depends on the reader IMO; most will never be able to take in a fraction of Tim's knowledge of bait, and what make's 'bait'. He won't supply you with a handful of recipes for you to go and pull apart your local, instead he will aim to inspire you to take the reign's and create a fast acting and highly attractive bait, but you will have to be prepared to forget much of what you already think you know.. Big question is does it out catch a very good, established readymade fresh boilie? No; it can equal it, and may outwit a very wary carp when a more conventional approach may often fail, but having used both approaches, my results are probably evenly split, though my PB and also most (40lb + fish) was on a full on no egg aged cured paste type bait that I have made to last 12 hrs on the hair (no crays!), and pretty much all of my captures have been on my own hookbaits for at least 6 years now fished alongside Spence Butlers Squid boilie or particle / pellet. No bs, but may confuse the f**k out of you.. lol..

Hi guys, i've found this video and another one and im curious what you think about his approach for bait making.

After video i've checked his ebook for sale
Apart from the price would You consider to buy it or his videos and things he writes (few posts on his blog) are bunch of bs ?

Maybe someone had chance to read this book or even know him and can say something about his results on bank.
