In reply to Post #13 I would laugh if that is the case

In reply to Post #12 Assume you cannot just walk round to the margin 50 yards away?

In reply to Post #1 Not sure what you mean. Do you mean you're casting 50yds away and want to get bait to it, or do you mean that you're fishing the margin 50yds on your bank?
Maybe you could get a rock hard ball of bait 20 or 30yds with one of those spoons, possibly? Even as hard as I could get them, found they just opened up and sprayed bait all over the shop using a spoon. Good for in the edge I guess where you could spread the love willy-nilly.

In reply to Post #1 Use liquidised sweetcorn instead of water to wet your mix. Add brown crumb 50/50 with the white.
Bait slings are great for distance but do take a bit of practice. Best do that when not fishing as you will spread bait away from your spot/s.

In reply to Post #1 You need to use vitalin, it will make good hard balls, you can add any of the usual stuff and it will bind like cement but still break apart once on the deck.

In reply to Post #1 White crumb will need some help as binder if you want to put large particles in your mix and feed at any kind of range. Try adding method mix until you get the result you want. You can then deliver it by catapult, baiting spoon or throw it by hand. No probs.

I like to mix sweetcorn, pellets and other bits into my mix and bind it with white crumb.
I usually fish my margins.
I also fish a swim with a margin about 50 yards away (I'm old skool).
Any tips ❓
I have tried numerous catapults (don't want a bushwacker) but no success.
How good are those baiting spoons on a long handle.
Cheers Mike
(3 weeks today tested positive for covid 19, we are both over it now but still have feelings of fatigue occasionally although could because we're old feckers 😂 )
