I'm using a glugged wafter OR a glugged pellet, coated with a glug which is PVA friendly.

What hook baits are you using? I only ask as a dried out bottom bait becomes a pop up etc etc

I guess the good thing about having so many bags pre-made is they remain "air tight" too as if your bait was vacuumed packed guaranteeing freshness and if you have a few bum chucks it's no bother just loop another on and away you go.
I experiment with all manner of bait in them, for instance Red Robin ground bait which isn't moist and can sit around the nugget. There are so many layers of attraction in a solid bag, a wafter, boilies, crumb, pellet, ground bait and you can even inject the bags with liquid.
Took me some time and effort to get these exactly as I wanted and a lot of trial and error in sinks and buckets, but it's all worth it!

That had been made up for a few weeks. As long as you dont put the nugget in to crumb which is moist (and does knacker the nugget) and keep it surrounded by pellet, it stays perfect.

I don't match fish, but I do try and be organised. A solid PVA bag to me is the perfect presentation, you can really refine and tweak your presentation and there's so many possibilities with PVA bags. I'd rather sit at home making these up so I can get them right, as your time fishing can then be better spent watching the water and finding the fish.
I don't think I've had to make a new baited rig up on the bank for ages and I wouldn't do it any other way.
As for the investment, how much do we all spend on rods, reels, bivvies etc. Its not much more to spend after you've bought that lot

The 1.75's between 60-80 yards and the 3.5's about 50 yards - comfortably. I could go further but I really don't want to put too much strain on my 3.5 TC rods, but that's ample for me.
I actually paint the top of the 3 5oz bag stems with a red nail varnish band, just to differentiate between them.

Yes solid PVA bags with leads in. I think I was part way through here.
I use 1.75 oz and 3.5 oz in line leads.

I regularly make up 60-80 bags in summer, several times over and as braders says they last months and months. Better with pellet as crumbed boilie they tend to go floppy a bit due to the moisture content in the crumb etc. I'd rather have a shed load made up than faff about making them up on the bank.

Overthinking this. Some come in resealable bags or put them in one. Good quality bags seem to last indefinitely if stored in a bag with an airtight seal and the air squeezed out. Never had a problem.

Doesn’t melt them although it works a little better with mesh bags I have done it with pva bags too but it does work

I’ve actually wrapped mine up in foil and stored them in a freezer as well but as for a bucket definitely months
