Anymore reviews of this brolly ? Looks really good 😊

In reply to Post #38 Just about, I've got an old ESP Super Cocoon bed which is pretty big and that fit across the back just about touching the sides.
I also got my rucksack, bag, tackle box etc inside. It's not big but perfect for overnighters for me. Height is fine, my head wasn't touching the ribs when sat on the bed but I'm 5'9 not 6'+.

In reply to Post #37 good news mate
what about the height and space inside with bed in can it go right back ?

In reply to Post #18 First trip using it last night. Well impressed, super quick to put up and down, material seems really good quality and it didn't leak. Good purchase

In reply to Post #34 So were my comments on UK made stuff

In reply to Post #33 Hardly hate is it,just a bit of banter. Don't take it so seriously...

In reply to Post #27 Yeah, it nearly put me off.
Not sure why the China hate, everything is made there. Only stuff made in the UK has a 6 month wait for a guy to knock it out in his shed, and costs 3 times more for the privilege.

In reply to Post #20 The sp brolly was advertised at 15k but in reality it was no where near. Think it was nearer 10k with everything. Solar told me it was a mistake. Still advertised everywhere as 15k
tho

Fill the container, weigh it, devide weight by number of products.

In reply to Post #28 It was done in the quality control department by Wee Whay Wong and Fuek Yoo

In reply to Post #26 Hopefully 4kg of parts havebt fallen off between china and here.

In reply to Post #26 And we all know how honest the Chinese can be ......🤣

In reply to Post #20 Thats a shocking weight difference !!
and Solar`s fig of 10.5kg would be enough to put a lot of people off buying this shelter as its too heavy but for you to find its only 6kg
Solar probably would of sold a hell of a lot more if they had put the correct weights their sales manager needs sacking lol
In reply to Post #25 They don't weigh it,they all just get told what it weighs by the factory in China knocking it out
In reply to Post #20 Nothing unusual, an awful lot of kit doesnt weigh anything like claimed, although usually it's heavier than stated. I know Nash don't actually weigh kit ,so it's quite possible other makers don't or rarely do

In reply to Post #19 Brolly arrived this morning. Put it up in the garden, seems really good quality.
When I picked it up I thought ‘no way is this over 10kg' so I weighed it all.
Brolly and carry bag 5kg.
Brolly, storm poles, pegs and bag 6kg.
Complete system as it came in the box inc spare ribs etc, 7.2kg.
So much lighter than advertised

In reply to Post #17 look forward to your verdict on it once you have used it Rob

In reply to Post #16 Ah ok, got a couple of mates on stretches like that Just going to enjoy Gunthorpe tbh, totally different fishing to what I'm used to on the tidal stretches further down where the fish could be anywhere. Going to fill it in and hold on
Hope you get out yourself soon mate too
Oh, and back on topic I've ordered an undercover brolly system. Will have a look at it when it gets here!

In reply to Post #15 sorry cant say as its a friends permission
I see on various FB groups been a lot of big fish coming out all over this season some full of spawn though good luck hope you get a big girl mate
In reply to Post #14 Whereabouts on the middle Gerry? I normally fish Sutton on the tidal which isn't easy, but I've joined Gunthorpe Lock this year and have a few sessions booked on the island, first is a 48hr the week after next. Been two different 18's out already this season
In reply to Post #13 my last Barbel session last year prior to my illness was a 48 hour and on the last night had a storm as soon as the heavy torrential rain started 02.00 till 04.00 non stop
the fish went nuts had 2 double hook ups so had to stop using 2 rods just using the one rod harder it rained the more bites cast out sometimes didnt even have time to put the rod in the rest I wont say how many doubles I had lol but I dont think I will ever come close to beating it it was on the middle too
I was using my new Wychwood tactical brolly it was perfect stood up to the winds and torrental rain and was brilliant but I never had time to get in it when it was raining I have a 45" cheap brolly over my chair next to my rods when Barbel fishing
and reel my rods in and sleep in the bivvy during the day
In reply to Post #10 I've got a video from last year when I fished the tidal in a storm, it was horrendous I caught well though!
In reply to Post #11 The new 2021 Bivvies are even worse, Cloth gets thinner and thinner with each new series
My mate had the undercover brolly and he said it was like looking at the stars on a clear night whilst laying on his bedchair due to the number of pinpr1ck holes in the material....

In reply to Post #9 Oh ok fair doo`s m8
yes that wind when its raining coming across those flat fields when your stuck on top of the flood bank on the Trent you certainly need a front
solar 10.5kg .......... MHR 6kg
In reply to Post #8 Not with the front though Gerry, that's why it's lighter too. I won't normally use the front, but need one just in case.
In reply to Post #6 Total tackle are doing the MHR thats a lot lighter in stock for £194
In reply to Post #6 Just brolly is no good which is a shame. The tidal is completely open, and when it's windy and raining the rain can smash in sideways (had it last year twice and I'd never keep everything dry).
In reply to Post #1 Total tackle are doing just brolly for £170 looks good
In reply to Post #2 Nice one, sounds promising.
In reply to Post #3 I've looked at the Wychwood, but it's quite a bit more expensive and out of stock everywhere apart from one dodgy looking site with a 2.7 rating on Trustpilot so they're not seeing my money...
In reply to Post #1 looks a lot like the Wychwood MHR Mk2 but thats got a 5-year manufacturer warranty

Saw one on the bank this week, looked fantastic quality. The guy raved about it too, all though im unsure how bias he was. But the quality of the build amf the material looked fantastic.

Evening all
Anyone got the solar undercover brolly system, how do you rate it? Quick to put up/solid in poor weather?
I'm looking to add one to my collection for single overnighters. I won't normally use the front, but as it'll be mainly the Tidal Trent I'll be fishing I'll need to have one in the car just in case as the weather can turn brutal on there, so that rules out just a brolly.
Cheer, Rob.
