No problem

Regarding the different times ect that was mentioned, I think he's planning on finding people who live near certain routes that can hold stock for him and give it out, rather than waiting in a van in a layby.

I think he's pretty much bang in between Le Mans and Tours. The Loir Valley not to be mistaken for the larger Loire Valley

In some countries petrol stations also offer parcel pick up for small fee... Especially useful if they are 24/7.

The problem with that is hold ups ,train, boat, traffic etc etc

Good idea and maybe places that have lockers like where you can pick up Amazon parcels at petrol stations and the like and I’m sure France will have them

I've been chatting with Dave Scott of Loirbaits, he's trying to arrange pick up points for bait on a couple of the major motorway routes.

Nope, they only sell from the shop, he owns it and has a little boillie factory....its a smaller company, and rolls weekly...fresh and not the big bulk. Not allot of the better company's sell in shops I'm afraid..

Andrew Bernard is a very knowlegeable ex-pat living in France. For many years he rolled for Nutrabaits (in France). He parted comnpany with Nutrabaits a year or so after Bill left. He now rolls what I would call UK-style HNVs using ingredients familiar to the majority of UK bait fans, as well as sourcing from quality EU-based suppliers of meals, extracts and proteins. He will roll bespoke baits and send them to the venue of choice and he already supplies several UK-owned Frnech lakes with their house bait. Contract Andrew on Facebook.

Must be near 6 years ago I said the same thing on here, I got flamed
Same as when I said Cherry Carp were perfectly good, both worked well but I'd take the CC 1st of the 2.

Agree. For bulk baiting, the decathlon boilies work very well, and a quarter to a third of the price of “big name” boilies.

Most of the companies mentioned in my previous post supply ingredients to make boilies, e.g. Triobaits, mtcbaits and dreambaits have a broad range of high quality ingredients

Any recommendations for good EU based bait ingredient suppliers?

I appreciate some of the firms listed below do have an 'ingredients' section, thanks for those.

Agree totaly for rivers and public lakes, thats all l fish and have done well with cheaper baits including baitology.
But as oldfellah has said people are looking for baits for commercial venues.
I dont know whether people rate LEON HOODENDJK baits as good or not but Pacific peche are selling Tiger nut boilies in 25kg boxes for 89.99€. Also available in other flavours.

A good call for public waters but those lads going to commercial venue's will need to get on either the established 'going bait' or at the very least a good quality bait.

I have used Baitology in the past for bulk baiting in France and done just fine on it. I also used Kent Particles budget range and done extremely well when I've kept the bait trickling onto one spot over a 7 day period when others were flicking out pva stringers.

In my opinion, using higher cost baits on rivers/public lakes in France is sometimes needless cost. I have caught very well in France on stuff that just would not compete over here. Quantity and location has been the order of the day on many occasions rather than quality.

In the future, it'll be Decathlon for 10kg of bait, or a source of maize and just cook it on the bank.

Hi All

Anyone going to any Eastern European venues should have a look at sportcarp, nikl, mivardi and cc moore
They all deliver to venues.
Unsure on post brexit prices, but i have used them all in the past and they all go out of their way to deliver and make sure your not caught short.
Best
Jon

When we can travel again if ever you need bait in Poland ring Marcin or Martin for us Brits I have caught countless fish on his baits, it's not sweepings either it is quality, he speaks very good English as he's lived in Twickenham for 20+ years but the bait company is based in Poland.ULTIMATE PRODUCTS

Happy New Year to you and Kathy. I was sceptical at the time but the results were better than anticipated. I did fish with Cell too and had 1 with that.

So no nutritional value to the fish at all Rich!! They should all be banned and bring back good old English frozen boilies. Happy New Year by the way to you and Patsy!

Eric is back in UK now. He used to promote Vitalbaits which is based in Spain. Good bait that I used at Rainbow and had 6 out of 7 fish on. It was shelf life bait at that time.

With the current situation on taking our own baits to Europe I thought it could be useful to collate a list of potential suppliers in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany etc. that decent quality bait could be sourced from for UK based anglers travelling to the EU. On the 2 threads running there seems to be several people saying it's not an issue just buy it there but they have not mentioned yet where from, so please feel free to add to the list..

As a start; I've not used this bait but know a couple of anglers in France that have with good results:

Eddy Sterckx - Belgium.
