In reply to Post #163 I agree shipping not filled makes total sense you can get loads in a box
In reply to Post #161 based on current shipping costs i would expect things like foam / poly mats are going to soar in price as you are shipping so much air - i got something delivered last week in a TA unhooking mat outer box (two mats) it was huge - i expect Speero could fit 100 of these unfilled mats in the same box.... so it makes business sense!
In reply to Post #160 Like I said in an earlier post I have got the born and bred mat.I had a layer of poly balls added at no extra cost.It folds up and is lightweight, best mat I have owned
In reply to Post #160 I don’t think it’s a very good idea tbh
In reply to Post #159 It has the potential to be a good product, but if it is just poly balls it needs to be tightly filled, to give the correct protection but then there is not enough 'give' in it to fold up for transport, like the old aqua mega mat
In reply to Post #157 It wasn't when I looked .The one I saw on the earlier pictures was folded and had a shoulder strap
https://www.speero.co.uk/beanie-unhooking-mat.html
its on their website
In reply to Post #155 Its definitely on there website.
In reply to Post #155 See one on eBay
In reply to Post #154 it is strange there is no sign of the mat on their Facebook or website. It does not look upto the usual Speero quality
In reply to Post #152 Sorry to hear speero is great but I think it’s the same old story there bringing out to much gear out at the same time something has to give think it would have been better to leave mats there’s enough out there and bring out the two or three rod sleeve now as people have bought the rucksack and carryall they want to match it
In reply to Post #152 Looks like a bit of an oversight to not allow full access to one side so you can add a layer of foam and then polyballs, which is far better than just polyballs imo
In reply to Post #151 The stitching underneath looked like a 3 year old had done it.No clips to fold it or shoulder strap, does not look like the one I saw in the pictures before
In reply to Post #150 I thought the same. Its like a bean bag design with the zips. There will be poly balls everywhere. Doesnt seem as well thought out as the luggage.
In reply to Post #148 Just seen a picture of the unhooking mat on the e-leisure ebay store,I have got to say that it looks cheap and not well made at all
My compact rucksack turned up today . What a fantastic well thought out bit of kit. Before I used an aqua compact carry all but was limited to taking a barrow as it was a pain to carry and meant off loading my gear into another rucksack. This rucksack will sit equally as well on my barrow as it will on my back .... credit where's due. Speero have nailed it with this.
In reply to Post #147 nice one, its a pain in the arse not being able to get to a shop and have a hold or play with products.
In reply to Post #146 Not yet, only seen a picture of a guy carrying one.I have the born and bred mat with added poly balls,it is so light and offers amazing protection. Its well worth a look and has green and dpm on it so will match the speero gear nicely
anyone seen the unhooking mat in the flesh?
In reply to Post #143 Kept it on my back for a good while, not been out yet but it's alot more comfy than the TA one which I did not find too bad.It is more of a square shape than the TA one but the padding sits nicely on your shoulders and lower back.
In reply to Post #142 Is it like a box and is it a lot bigger than the ta one
In reply to Post #142 Have you just thrown it on your back or have you walked a decent distance with it yet
In reply to Post #141 Tested and it is far from uncomfortable, the straps and back panel are so well padded. Its very well thought out and loads of room without it being too big
In reply to Post #139 Some people on here have bought the new small rucksack has anyone put there gear in and tested it out yet as there was a concern it was to boxy and therefore uncomfortable feedback please
In reply to Post #138 I placed an order over the phone with CA years back. They shipped the goods and forgot the Bill my card.
Appreciating that they are very busy people, I decided not to contact them and point out the mistake they had made.
Can't believe what I read on here at times!
my rucksack and sling turned up today, quality as usual...im.scared whats coming out next and what its going to cost me...between jag and speero its costing me a small fortune...all this after the post around Xmas time about spending aswel 🤣🙄......h

In reply to Post #136 Cotswold customer service is good if asking about ordering something but you have an issue like I did and they did not want to know
Cotswold even charged me £11 delivery on a £200 order last week, which is a piss take. The only thing i would change on my speero modular cool bag would be the flap type kangaroo pocket with buckles on to a zip like the others but thats my only gripe and i can live with that.
In reply to Post #133 Mine arrived this morning, first impressions are superb. Can fit everything I need to get fishing in the outside pockets, korda tacklebox fits perfectly in the side pocket.Going sort all of the rest tomorrow, dont want take all the excitement up in one day
In reply to Post #133 Yep I've been very impressed with all the speero gear I have bought so far... Especially compared to some of the other brands I've had... Had some items couple of years now and they still look new, and that's fishing all year once a week... Big thumbs up like you say stu 😊
Rucksack arrived a day early. Usual excellent quality and the perfect size, so another thumbs up. I cant see why anyone would choose another brand for luggage if im honest. Korda must be a bit sick as they have just recently released all there luggage which is crap in comparison and cotswold are going to have to really drop there prices if they want to compete. It makes a nice change to see a good brand putting out decent gear without the ridiculous carp tax.
In reply to Post #130 You know me Phil, it will all be for sale at some point, I never keep anything for long 😀
In reply to Post #130 I have heard a rumour new rod protection around June, shorter rod sleeves and due to demand tri sleeves. That is the thing I'm waiting on
In reply to Post #129 Let me know if you decide to sell any Stu....
On a serious note it does look quality kit, so much so that I've sold most of my CA gear. I'm just waiting to see if they bring out a tri sleeve before I invest...
In reply to Post #128 Hopefully nothing or its going to start getting expensive 😀
In reply to Post #127 be interesting see what's coming next
In reply to Post #126 Its looking that way 😀 ive always had a bit of a soft spot for luggage.
In reply to Post #125 Have you got a luggage fetish
They said it will arrive on fri. Might order the new barrow carryall as well.
In reply to Post #123 I'm hoping mine will be here by end of the week
In reply to Post #119 Yes ordered it yesterday 👍🏻
In reply to Post #121 Can’t see the new bits on speero site apart from barra bag
In reply to Post #120 Just ordered all mine, only thing the shop didn't have was the scales pouch.
In reply to Post #119 mine will be here tomorrow with the lightweight sling, just seen the alarm covers are out..my Mrs is ****ting herself incase a set of speero dpm underwear turns up
In reply to Post #104 Did you order the rucksack
In reply to Post #117 How things are going with releases,it might be later in the week
In reply to Post #116 Rod sleeve for shorter rods might arrive later in the year.
In reply to Post #115 Not any for shorter rods yet
I’m tempted now too, it’s great that they are adjustable as I use different length rods depending on the water
In reply to Post #113 Might have to check them out, just watched the you tube video.Im not sure I like the velcro hood part.I will wait see if do a tri sleeve
In reply to Post #112 feel decent tbh, better than the trakker nxg ones I used before.
In reply to Post #111 Wish you had not said that as that might now get added to my order. How well padded are the sleeves
In reply to Post #110 theyve replied and 3 rod sleeves will fit in the compact quiver so I've edited the for sale post to just the quiver and base
In reply to Post #108 They are too busy putting up pics of more new gear .I think the unhooking mat will be soon
In reply to Post #105 I have the Speero original quiver which is a basic design, what I do like though is the rod sleeves, well thought out, adjustable and well made.
In reply to Post #107 I'm not sure tbh,I have asked the question but they haven't answered yet
In reply to Post #105 Can you not use the sleeves on the new quiver,I hate leaving my rods exposed.I always think I will damage mine leaving them like that
In reply to Post #101 I'm with you on the rod bags , Cotswold are very well padded and do the job very well . That said a fair bit of the Cotswold range is not great . The deceptor rucksack has to be the piss poor design of the decade. Hardly deceptive as the name suggests when it has a footprint of a small bungalow when you need to get into it. The wader bucket is next to useless . The unhooking cradle mat sides are floppy when wet and wouldn't retain a gold fish let alone a decent carp. Are people still brand loyal these days ? I was to cotswold for a good few years but gave my head a bit of a wobble. And now I use a mixture of aqua speero and Cotswold. Hopefully picking the best of what I need out of these three . As already pointed like esp speero will do well as the quality is very good for not a lot of money , in comparison to the likes of the ***** Trakker turn out for similar prices
I've just got the quiver base, hood and 3 full rod sleeves, had I known they were bringing out a lightweight version I would have waited...hence why its in the classifieds for no other reason than the scaled back version will suit me better going forward.
In reply to Post #102 Yes a lot dearer.
In reply to Post #102 I think that is why Speero will just get bigger and bigger. Its quality products at very reasonable prices
In reply to Post #101 And probably dearer too
My cotswold rod holdall came today and the material is identical to my new speero luggage and its just as well made 👍🏻
In reply to Post #99 I have the modular cool bag system plus all the other small ones in various sizes. Without doubt the best insulated bags available
Its a bloody addiction, just ordered some pouches and the other two smaller cool bags.

In reply to Post #91 As mentioned below, if it was made in the uk it would be plastered all over it.
this is taken from their website
Our products are designed and created by our in-house team. Our two designers have over 50 years’ of carp angling experience between them, 36 years’ experience with our sewing and sample making team and over 60 years of product sourcing and manufacturing knowledge. We have the experience, knowledge and resources to bring products of a superior quality to the market, whilst maintaining an affordable price. Our team’s experience is carried into the design and construction process whereby they recognise existing problems and flaws which allows us to create products that are innovative, ergonomic and more importantly, built to last.
still can't work out if its made in the UK or just designed amd samples done in the UK.
In reply to Post #89 It will be made in china just designed here. The chinks can make decent stuff as well as the crap they churn out you just have to pay a bit extra.
In reply to Post #85 Normally if it’s made in the uk they plaster it all over the
I would say it’s just designed in the uk
In reply to Post #87 I never pay any attention to what she says anyway. If i want it i buy it. Same goes for her, if she wants anything she just buts it, nothing to do with me its her money. The joys of separate bank accounts 👍🏻
In reply to Post #83 I could do you favour and get it delivered to me
In reply to Post #85 Not sure mate
In reply to Post #84 I know it says it's designed in the UK but is it made in the UK too??
In reply to Post #83 Speero give it away aswell with the bloody big pictures on the boxes
In reply to Post #80 Im ordeing one on monday so i will let you know what its like. The missus is playing holy hell as all the other stuff came today and filled the hall with cardboard boxes and my cotswold delivery is still to arrive yet. She will probably flip when the rucksack turns up as well 😀
In reply to Post #80 It's not going be until next month probably, but I will certainly let you know when I do
In reply to Post #80 once a rucksack gets to a certain size and shape it’s going to hang on the back like all the others
Surely ??
In reply to Post #79 Thanks I wasn’t expecting a third one just thought new one was going to be around the size of ta one shame can’t see it before buying would you mind doing a review when you get it
In reply to Post #77 There will be more to come in the luggage im sure but I doubt a third rucksack
In reply to Post #75 Thanks but got one already 😁
In reply to Post #76 It does look good if you want a barra bag but it’s big luggage again need to make a small one and the new rucksack I thought would have been a 30lt also for anyone trying to match up Dpm the small bits I’ve bought it matches my Dpm carp Porter under bag it looks identical to me
In reply to Post #74 £110srp looks quality
In reply to Post #74 There’s a rucksack for sale in classifieds

In reply to Post #67 Should be in shops next week
anyone know when the new rucksack is out??
In reply to Post #65 Have to agree on the squareness making fishing rucksacks uncomfortable my army ones are far better but then they don’t stand up well when you put them down
In reply to Post #63 Going be in the shops very soon.
In reply to Post #62 33x30x20 it states on Angling Direct website
In reply to Post #62 How does it compare with ta one any idea
In reply to Post #61 From the dimensions it’s not that much smaller
Original 54/32/46
New 55/32/34
In reply to Post #60 I’ve had a look on fb bloke saying that it’s two square the weight won’t sit right so i am thinking is it going to be comfortable
Pics and info on their fb page of the new compact rucksack, looks neat, will stick with the larger one for my own use...
In reply to Post #56 I’m very happy with the protection that the rod sleeves give, like the fact that they’re adjustable to your rod size too
In reply to Post #57 They told me last year they plan on adding to the range and there was still lots to come.Hopefully the new rucksack is the start of the more compact luggage range,my wife can get me the new rucksack for valentines and the rest for my birthday in April
In reply to Post #56 As I said they seem to focus on big luggage I think they realised there missing a trick making a small rucksack as the fashion is to go light
In reply to Post #55 The Speero rod bag is very well padded like the cotswold gear, just cheaper.I will wait until Speero do more rod protection and probably switch to that then
In reply to Post #53 Just bought it direct from there website. Just paid the price that was on the site. Still not that keen on there rod protection so bought a cotswold link double rod sleeve and a single link rod sleeve. I still think cotswold do the best rod sleeves and rod holdalls on the market. I really like the minimalist compact idea of the cotswold link double sleeve. Hopefully it will be a good match or it will play havoc with my ocd 😀
In reply to Post #53 I like the fact that you can add on to the rucksack and modular system with extra bags. Got the bait modular carryall attached to the rucksack and an insulated add on too. Perfect for the long sessions.
In reply to Post #52 Where have you ordered from and did you manage get a good deal
Just put a big order in. Will add the small rucksack when it comes out and thats all bases covered from days sessions to longer sessions.
In reply to Post #50 My mate asked Speero on Facebook I think it was
In reply to Post #47 How do you know around £100 mate I can understand the rucksack is massive so are carryall and quiver anymore news when out like me if you have been using ta gear speero is big
In reply to Post #48 Yeah,I lost no money on it and fancied the TA stuff.I have the rucksack and carryall in the camfleck, got the carryall for stuff I don't need on day sessions.
In reply to Post #46 You sold it all just because the rucksack was to big?
New rucksack going be around £100
In reply to Post #45 I had it all mate, rucksack, modular coolbag, clip on standard and coolbag, scales pouch and accessory pouches.I sold it all my mate as rucksack was too big for my needs,if this new one is aswell thought out as the TA one then it could be my new luggage again
In reply to Post #44 I've got 4 complete rod sleeves, quiver base, hood, rucksack, landing net stink bag,rig tray, additional clip on bag for rucksack, various smaller bits for hangers, storage of rig bits etc,all absolute quality gear.
In reply to Post #43 Just done my list and will wait for the new rucksack to order it all in one go.I just want see how new rucksack is set out
In reply to Post #42 Ive just bought the buzz bar bag a two small cool bags a gas cover last week absolutely brilliant
In reply to Post #39 It says later in the week,it looks like one of the side pockets is designed for banksticks as it has the velcro flap like the buzzbar bag
In reply to Post #40 They don’t look compact in photos the bloke on YouTube carpology vid said it’s great good quality but thought it was a bit big I think the cool bag looks the right size as a carryall
In reply to Post #37 The carryalls are quite compact as they are. Dont really need a smaller one. Im using the modular coolbag as a carryall and its the perfect size. I prefer the rigid sides of the cool bag, keeps its shape better.
In reply to Post #38 Sorry ya 13ft too wonder when rucksack is being shown
In reply to Post #37 13ft tri sleeve too
In reply to Post #35 I bought the three pouch pk under £12 for three different size pouches there great i think what’s is needed is small rucksack small carryall three rod quiver three rod 12ft tri sleeve a 10ft and bed cover
In reply to Post #35 Lol... Yep their range is very well priced, looking forward to see what other stuff they bring out...they are definitely a big player in the luggage area now, quality well thought out items and at sensible prices 😊...
In reply to Post #34 Some of the gear is so cheap it's almost rude not to buy it
In reply to Post #33 What speero are showing that you can sell good quality tackle at a good price showing up the overpriced junk some companies turn out well done to them you have my support
In reply to Post #32 This could start getting expensive
In reply to Post #31 and a 10ft holdall👌 but I have spoke to them about that and they did say towards the end of the year earliest
In reply to Post #30 I did say in post 12,more products are going to be released.I think they were hoping towards end of 2020 but we all know what happened there.Just need a small carryall now and some tri sleeve rod bags
In reply to Post #29 Well well and what was I just saying can’t wait to see it
In reply to Post #28 My thinking anglers rucksack could well be going .
In reply to Post #27 no doubt it will be quality and well thought out like the rest of their gear, take my money now.
In reply to Post #26 Yep that's the video my mate just sent me
In reply to Post #25 https://www.facebook.com/SpeeroTackle/videos/310317587086774/
just seen this on facebook
Just been sent a link,it looks like Speero are doing a smaller rucksack
In reply to Post #23 I find if you lean forward slightly and tighten the straps the chest straps sits lower and the padding goes around further.Im tempted take mine to a woman I know (after lockdown of course)to see if she can stitch the webbing straps to the padding
In reply to Post #22 Ya I agree that was the biggest problem the strapping not sawn to the padding cut into sides and harness not big enough difficult to get on and chest strap a bit high
In reply to Post #21 Strange as a love mine,it sits perfectly on my back. The only thing I would change is the padding on the strap so it was stitched all the way down
In reply to Post #20 Yes I meant speero the size of ta as said many times before I have never felt more gutted over any other tackle getting rid of my ta rucksack I loved it but was so uncomfortable for me
In reply to Post #19 It is alot smaller than the TA one but he is saying speero should do a rucksack same size as the TA but with the speero comfort
In reply to Post #18 It looks a lot smaller than the ta one.
In reply to Post #15 Thanks for feedback it seems to me maybe a rucksack size of ta one but with speero harnes making it comfortable unlike the ta one
In reply to Post #16 Its looks tiny the stalking bag
In reply to Post #15 the stalker bag is quite small, deceiving on the pics as I bought it for that reason and its far from big enough
In reply to Post #14 I am just wondering if the stalker bag would be ok for day session would it be big enough anyone got one or seen one to give feedback
In reply to Post #11 Not sure about the huge end pockets on the carryall look a bit odd so will probably go with the cool bag and use it as a carryall and add tye modular rectangle coolbag to the top. Like the rigid sides of the cool bag. The cool bag, bait bag and carryall all look very similar size but with different pockets on the outside. I will still use cotswold for rod holdall as only want to carry two made up rods so will go cor there link two rod holdall. I can see speero putting a huge dent in cotswolds profits as cotswold prices have just went daft recently.
In reply to Post #11 There is some videos on you tube of the carryall, they might give you an idea of size
In reply to Post #11 More products are going to be released
In reply to Post #10 I know that speero is good quality I have some of there small bits the question is the cattyall is it as big as it looks in photos looks like a barra bag size if it is I think they should make a smaller carryall and a small 3 rod. Quiver basically gear to go light it all looks like there focused on session anglers
In reply to Post #6 Yep I started my speero luggage collection about 2 years ago now... Its been brilliant mate and the quality is excellent, rod holdall, rucksack and carryall with a few of the clip ons plus a few smaller items... Will last for plenty of years to come I'm sure of that mate...
In reply to Post #7 Same here and agree Speero is better value for money and does not compromise on quality
In reply to Post #7 I've had some of their clothing, that was good quality and well priced.
In reply to Post #6 Had both, the Speero build quality is superb and a better price
Ive always had cotswold luggage and just stumbled on the speero gear. Looks identical but better though out than cotswold. I can see me getting a speero fetish and starting a collection if the build quality is up there with cotswold.
In reply to Post #1 I have the carryall, it's on the smaller/medium side, (compared to some carryalls I have owned) although side pockets are generous...
I use the clip on cool bag with mine and house my cooking/brew kit/stove pot etc and food for session...
The quality is very good, and comfortable to carry on the shoulder...
In reply to Post #3 It does give you the dimensions on the speero site .
In reply to Post #2 Thanks but it’s The carryall not the bait bag
In reply to Post #1 Which carryall, I have the modular bait carryall.
It’s not that big
Has anyone got this carryall the question i wanted to ask is it as big as it looks in photos it looks like a barra bag size or is it smaller what is it like to carry over shoulder feedback please
