Acids or alcohols create a ph shift in the water column which can attract fish to the source.

My experience was exactly the same with no noticable difference in catch rates, I also had the liquid that's still festering in my fridge and has gone through a stage of puffing out the bottle and has now reversed and is full of bubbles.

Yes it’s the increase in acidity that aids the digestion.

In the PeteB mix the Citric acid was there to raise the acidity of the mix and the chilli powder to help them digest it.

Apparently

For acidity, the powder.. Greater surface area than the flakes. Chilli oil isn't really as named, more chilli infused veg oil. Powder is the best.

What would be the better variant though for this, chilli flakes/powder or oil? Would either have certain benefits over the other?

Blimey is Dean back in business? Used to love that bait, had some of my best years using it when it was a little hush hush

Best bit was letting people try and then seeing their faces turn purple red from the cayenne pepper 😂

Just to try and put a fair balance on the bait i did use the enzyme bait back in the mid 2000's and found it a very good bait better in my opinion than any other boiled bait i have ever used. I have also used the enzyme bait again this autumn with a lot of success and was doing very well on a water until the tier system stopped me in my tracks.

Id never heard of this bait company until I read this thread, after reading about their bait all I can say is that they have made some very huge/extraordinary claims.

Dw lads. Wayne’s just triggered because he, like Dean, stalked me on Facebook to try and get a rise and can’t handle that I don’t give a monkeys. Typical snowflake that he is.

Wouldn’t quite say someone that got banned for racism is a good bloke but whatever floats your boat.
Dean was OTT defensive of his product alongside some other users/friends that waded in. The threads were chaos with videos of tank tests claiming all sorts of things and constant attacks on anyone that dared question the product.

I know a few people that bought the liquid product, used it and saw no difference in their catch rates or even reactions of the fish when they could view them. They never purchased again. Not exactly the results you’d expect from a wonder liquid/bait and 100% proven to evoke a feeding response.
Don’t discount it but maybe get a smaller batch first and see what you think.

Deans a good bloke, i like him, Pete (Bless him) is as mad as a box of frogs

the only thing i found is when ever UCN cropped up on here, bait threads always turned into a row of some sort...mind you, he's not alone on that one, anyone who questions certain bait products just gets a barrage of silly technical crap posts no one is really interested in and then it turns into a row,

some of the claims bait firms make are quite amusing

Sad to hear. I loved Pete’s discussions on bait - a lot of common sense - even if everyone else was wrong!

Didn’t know their name was ever out there. Yes I’m genuinely interested, like I say I’ve tried to find reviews/reports on it and only thing I can find is from like 2008 on other forums.

There’s a few baits I’m interested in not just this one , Jason Hayward’s MPX, S.A.E baits B2, Stickys active krill, this UCN enzyme or just go back to Trent baits shrimp

Think its a decent bait but that Dean guy puts me off ordering- ranting about flat earth/Qanon nonsense. Few nutters out there making me shy away from bait/tackle/venues.

Got some of the moonfruit as it came out. Did catch a few on it. Because of or in spite of using it I’m not sure, didn’t do well on the one water that really counts so haven’t had anymore, was it me or the bait, who knows but it’s all a confidence thing
