To be fair I fished farlows 15 years ago for a few years and at the time it wasn’t bad, the odd incident but really wasn’t as bad as hear say. I liked it there myself had some nice fish from there.

In reply to Post #53 I have never fished Farlows despite its 10 mins away but I knew a bloke who stopped fishing it a years ago because of the human shyte every where and the stench was terrible but these days apparently its a well run circus now

In reply to Post #44 Do you regularly fish farlows

In reply to Post #51 I'm sure there are a few dog owners, who collect the poo from their garden in a poo bag, empty it down the toilet and tie the bags up so they dont smell, keep them in another bag until bin day.
I do the same with my poo bags, just larger

In reply to Post #49 You can find plenty of stories to support both sides of the argument. Its been well documented about greenhouse gases produced by farm animals

In reply to Post #34 Must admit that due to previous experience I always have my rods out of the water when I go for a dump. This means I can relax and enjoy a good crap. Somebody once said " there is nothing so overrated as bad sex and nothing so underrated as a good ****" I'm old enough to realise they were right.

In reply to Post #40 Eating meat is a major factor the global warming.

In reply to Post #39 Being vegan is not environmentally friendly,we need to eat more meat to help cut down on their **** and the greenhouse gases it gives off
|
|

Obvs I do care, human waste is useless being at the top of the food chain eating meat leave little to nothing in our waste the only decent place for it is the toilet where it can be processed properly. Land fill it the last place it should end up.
The most environmentally friendly thing to do is be a vegan after that wack your poo down the loo.

Didn’t have a dump for the last two days when doing a week. Got home, visited the toilet and logged out an effortlessly long girth. It was in the u bend and was also nestling on the back of the toilet some 4 inches above the waterline. Flushed it 5 times and it wouldn’t budge so took a photo of it and sent it to the lad on watsapp. When I’d spoke to the lad he said he’d heard the alert go off and asked his partner at that time to see who it was and what they wanted....... . She then told him your dad had sent a photo........

In reply to Post #26 I would stick it in the bin and send it to landfill, they then harvest the gas off the landfill and burn it and call it green energy. Gassification doesn’t work not in this country anyway because we try to bung any old **** in (pun intended). Only works if the feedstock is very uniform and pure.

In reply to Post #27 . . .definitely affects your catching percentages if you
a) Spend your Sesh constipated / holding one in
b) Have to reel in at key bite times to use the venue toilet / escape into the woods and bury one
Nothing better than a bucket if you're regular - watching those rods from the bivvy door whilst curling one out in peace is all part of efficient angling . . .
|
|
|
In reply to Post #30 Will it be frowned upon if you just curl one out whilst sat on the bin
|
|

In reply to Post #30 your LINKY POOO
AND what it states Look out for bins marked as dog bins to dispose of your dog bag. If you cannot find a dog bin, then double wrap the dog bag and place it in a normal litter bin.

In reply to Post #27 I used to have a bit of pipe lagging round the top of the bait bucket with a bag in it and it was very comfy then I changed to a clip on toilet seat and lid and on long sessions a bivvy loo so never been a problem

In reply to Post #25 I think you may find that nowadays you are allowed to put dog sh1t bags in a normal street side waste bin as they are not putting in anymore dog dirt bins
I am not 100% sure of the legalities of it but I always see normal bins overflowing with little bags bowadays

In reply to Post #23 In Shepperton Sita built a giant incinerator but it was soon shut down as I thought most have ??
initially they were supposed to generate electricity but the toxic fumes release by burning plastic bags etc caused the close sure after failing all the emission tests
a new version has been trying to get past emission test thats supposed to use gasification to super-heat non-recycled household black bag waste within the predicted emissions levels but so far its COMPLETELY failed to do so and no date is given for it to open
so again I am under the impression it ALL goes to landfill sites anyway

In reply to Post #24 not quite,
i just fill a bucket up with hot water with detergent in, let them soak for a bit if you want, a lid on the bucket to stop the smell, stir with a stick or something similar,
pick out the biodegradable bags out, put in another biodegrade bag,
and empty the water down the toilet,
i do it all in the toilet, so no mess, and such
just something i'd rather do, and like i said, taks no time at all,
after all, thats what a toilet is for, getting rid of sh#t
and i can, as i live on my own, so no problem
but sure theres ways of getting around this,
i'd rather do it this way, as i don't like the idea of bags of sh#t in bins when people could get them over Their self's,
as who would expect bags of sh#t in house hold rubbish, or other rubbish bins
just not right in my view, as i've got mates on the dust
as with the dog poo bins, the people clearing and cleaning them, know whats in them, so they wear the proper PPE and such
just my view

In reply to Post #23 Do you, personally, wash out crap covered plastic bags, maybe 5 or 6 of them or are you giving "advice". If you do, good on you, but not for me. I dealt with snot, puke and crap as part of my job, for many years. I am buggered if I am doing it for fun.

In reply to Post #22 most off it goes to a incinerator , and used in waste to energy , there's one such bio waste-energy plant near Royston
as they are stopping it were they can from going to waste fill sites, as most of the of the bags don't break down,
end of the day. put the crap down the toilet, and use biodegradable bags,
drop the bags in a bucket of water, rinse, then in the recycling bags, then bin
takes all off 5/10 mins

In reply to Post #17 Putting them in dog sh#t bins is ok if your can find one,
where do you think it then goes ?
|
|

In reply to Post #20 my nearest ones are on hampstead heath,
that way i said i don't think walking around with bags of sh#t is a good thing for me lol
i have actually look for some closer to me, but found it much easier to dump down the toilet (pardon the pun)
so much quicker

In reply to Post #17 All the local playing fields and parks near me have the dog poo bins.I just use one of those

Thanks for the input(or should that be output) guys. Lot of things to think about and some things I don't wat to think about. I think a bit more research on alternatives is needed. Thanks a lot and stay loose!!!.

In reply to Post #1 . . .have used biodegradable bags since I can remember. . .will handle a solid madras / half bottle of shiraz from the evening before no probs. As per bmthman, Mc Donald's bins are the usual final location of said bags en route back from the lake . . .they've been serving up **** for years so its good to give something back . . .

In reply to Post #16 I’ve got the ridgemonkey crapper, and is a godsend,
For bags I actually use biodegradable food waste bags, the 5lrt bags fit the bucket perfectly,
And then just change over, the cost of the bags in about £5per hundred ?
I started using them a while back, as I use them for my food waste,
but dumping bags of sh#t In waste bins is disgusting, No better than the dog walkers,
I wouldn’t even think of doing that,
Imagine the poor bin men unloading the bins ?
When used, I just tie up and seal, leave then in the bucket ,just bag it up at the end of the session,
take home, cut open, and down the toilet, Easy as that,
Leaving your bags of sh#ts in public bins or any outdoor bins is disgusting
Putting them in dog sh#t bins is ok if your can find one,
But walking around a park with bags of sh#t looking for dog waste bins ain’t really my thing,
Just use biodegradable food waste bags, and there strong enough for the heaviest brick dump
And the wettest curry dump
|

How very sad that you all use plastic bags for your ****, I’ve given up caring and do the same no one actually cares about the planet anyway.

In reply to Post #13 Disgusting isn't it.
Blooming better off to leave the dog poo on the ground.
I actually went out and bought Beco Biodegradeable dog poo bags so if they did go to landfill they would break down.
I find the whole thought of landfill abhorrent, clothes from the 1970/80's still wearable after washing, nappies still complete and full of sh...
Far better to use the waste as fuel for an incinerator or power station😉
I have a mate who fishes the Broads for pike from his boat for a weekend at the time. He poos in a bucket with water in, then tips it over the side.
As for disposal from my bucket from fishing on the bank, I double bag the bucket, leaving it in the bucket until I get back then put it in a black bin bag and into my black bin.

In reply to Post #1 Mine go in the general waste bin at home.

I wondered what happens to dog poo in the many bins and apparently it ends up in landfill sites and the only problem is the mucho cheapo bags are plastic and remain in the ground for god knows how many years
WORSE IMO are F*****g dog owners !!! with the practice of hanging poo-filled bags from trees in the country side
or chucking them in peoples gardens down the streets
When I have fished a session I normally put my bag of rubbish in one of the Layby bins on the way home
and my 30L Biodegradable leak proof Bin Liner Compostable with my whoopsie in
|
|

I’ve used an air tight bucket with out bags for ages big enough to use small enough to enable an easy clean out in the toilet at home. No more than the usual waste.

Personally I think I would throw them in a dog sh1t bin

I am ready for all the humorous cr*p so feel free. However, serious question. If I use the bivvy loo I will end with compost able bags containing solid and gelled waste. As I am unable to travel and hurl them at Boris or Gove or Gavin Williamson, what do I do with them? So far all I can come up with is burying them in the garden or putting them in the compost. Is there a genius idea out there somewhere.
OK sh*theads, bring it on.
