In reply to Post #18 Definitely overpriced
On the other hand I see plenty of people walking around with £200+ headphones, probably streaming low quality through spotify

Does anyone think these audio systems are overpriced for example £800 for a single soundbar.
A quick look at Richer Sounds and that sort of money will get you a fair amount of hifi equipment
If you have 3 minutes to spare

I have the Sonos Arc sound bar, its incredible sound quality is great and realy fills the room

In reply to Post #15 Not sure tbh, I've seen them as rear speakers in houses so I assume so. The ikea ones aren't on my network now, my daughter got fed up of me putting annoying music on to wake her up and did her own setup
I do want the sub but they're too bloody expensive

In reply to Post #12 have a sonos sound bar and a couple of 1's around the house, stunning for the tv and great for streaming music from your phone as well definitely recommend

In reply to Post #8 Is the distortion through the tv, or assuming a full set up the amp, could it be a TV setting?
Shame to use a sound bar when you have a full set up.

In reply to Post #11 I've got a few sonos 1s, they do sound great, but a tiny speaker like that will always be a bit tinny sounding. I've been hoping for a cheaper subwoofer to bring the home cinema/music system together.
The sonos/ikea speakers are worth a look, I fitted some in my daughters room and I don't hear much difference compared to the 1s, less obtrusive looking too

In reply to Post #1 My old Sony came with an ARC soundbar, it was ok especially as it was free but it broke down.
I didn't want to spend a fortune so bought THIS
What a pile of ****, it made hardly any difference so I sent it back.
I started to look for something bigger and better but meanwhile started using some speakers and subwoofer that were meant to be for a PC, I connected them using the TV's headphone socket and was really surprised, they sounded really good. I've stuck with them, I've heard expensive soundbars and they seem overpriced.

In reply to Post #1 Don’t know much about soundbars but for me I have 2 that have built in sub woofer as they look far better on the eye under the tv.
Edit - If you’ve a local richer sounds would be well worth popping in.
