Yeh I went with jb, and used the milky flavour with iso eugenol in, I can't remember the name now.

It seemed to enhance the bait but I haven't had any time the past few weeks to fish, let alone test mixes!

I've got some plum and squid popups from UB and they are def JB plum ones

Interested in the plum and maple with a fishmeal basemix... any others use that combo?

I’ve just ordered some plum and maple pop ups from ub baits, i really rate plum as a flavour and it’s in the fishmeal I use so thought these would be a nice match for them, hopefully they will bag me a few this winter 😁🎣

Is that per kilo ken or for a hookbait mix?

For a 6-egg mix, Chris. For hookers/pops 1ml per egg is OK, though on some venues it may be too strong.

Agreed. Having used ala salar and plum in my own fish meal base mix it was an awesome combo. The only negative thing I found was the price was a bit steep compared to others on the market. Money aside fantastic combo imho

I'm sure it would but don't rule out jb plum and ala salar in a fishmeal. The best flavour combo I've used

I’ve used a fishmeal base mix with solars Squid and octopus and John baker’s plum with great success over the years, never added maple though.

Quick question on Maple & Plum combination - would this work with a strong fishmeal basemix, and some fish/squid hydrolysate?

Try barbel frost and flood by John Baker if you want a maple flavour tweaked. I've been making some hookbaits with it after using it a lot for my barbel fishing and results so far have been encouraging

not really sure maple flavor has got a lot to do with actual maples but could be wrong.

Sounds interesting... But please could you put that through a spell check and use some punctuation!
Maple... Not mapple

Wasn't the original one supplied by a company called Konstans*(ironically I may have spelled that incorrectly...)?

JB Supermilk with his Plum is IMO the Rolls Royce of winter baits...thankfully the price puts a lot of people off!

The jb plum seems to be one of few flavours that many rate, I may get some, but in my head a combination with a dairy type flavour will suit better.

The fish in my local river seem to like the three variations of the mix without any flavour (they're not fussy though) so I may not use any in the end.

Used loads of different Maple flavours over the years. Nothing come close to the original Maplecream IMHO, though John Baker's version runs it close. Try experimenting with a blend of 1ml JB PLum + 2ml JB Maple...Thank me later.

British Aqua Feeds maple is very good. It's thick so can be a bit difficult to measure but it's good stuff. Not used the catchit maple but have some of their other flavours which have all been good.

Does anyone know of a particularly good maple flavour?
I'm getting another flavour from catchit so if their one is good it'll make things easier
